5am – Draco had woken early after a very restless night, waking up screaming, covered in sweat at least two times. Exhilarated, Draco jumped out of his bed and ran towards his bathroom. Despite being lethargic, he was very enthusiastic to start Hogwarts today. Following brushing his teeth, he glared up into the mirror above the sink; there were faint bags under his cold silver eyes. He tamed his wild hair using some tap water and returned to his room. Draco got changed into the robes he had laid out last night, Dobby had ironed them, so they didn't have a single crease. The old lady was right, the robes were way too big for Draco and looked baggy on his skeleton of a body. Hopefully, he would grow into them.

After changing, he trotted down to the dining hall, grabbing an apple from a fruit bowl in the middle of the glass top table. He surprised himself by eating breakfast for the first time in months. He could tell today was going to be a long but exciting day.

Draco said goodbye to his mother at the Manor before leaving with his father for the station. As they walked out the towering iron gates, he turned around to look at the pit of darkness and let out a small grin, prior to rushing after his father who was opening the Rolls Royce's' door.

When they arrived at the train station it was full of muggles hurrying in every direction. Draco struggled to follow his father through the crowds, trying to avoid bumping into anyone. It did not help that Draco was heaving two large suitcases as Dobby had to stay at home. The muggles would have a shock seeing a house elf at Kings Cross. Draco was quite alarmed and almost struggling to cope because he had never seen so many muggles/people in one place. Although his family would sometimes entertain, Draco had never been given the opportunity to mix with many people. He nearly pushed past his father, when he realised, he had stopped on the platform.

Lucius turned slightly to acknowledge Draco's whereabouts and scowled "This is where I leave you Draco, all you have to do is run at this wall, stupid contraction if you ask me!".

He steadily crouched down in front of Draco and whispered in a threating tone "Remember your task and make your father proud".

A feared expression drew on Draco's face as he muttered "Yes father".

With that Lucius turned and vanished into the crowd of muggles.

Draco glared at the brick wall in front of him, worried as to how he could injure himself running into it. His father hadn't given him clear instructions, so he just closed his eyes and took a sprint of faith. The wall gave a weird feeling, like being sucked into a hoover and spat out in a different location. Draco shook his head to correct his vision and looked up to see a black metallic sign reading 9 ¾.

As he walked around the corner, Draco entered a busy platform filled with young witches and wizards hugging and waving their parents goodbye. He glared around, scanning for Crabbe or Goyle, but they must have already settled on the train.

He entered the first carriage, ignoring all the other students around him. Slowly, Draco searched each cabin going from carriage to carriage until he finally found Goyle – a slim, tall, dark haired boy. Maybe Draco should have looked out for the Potter boy, but he had no idea what he looked like. He opened the cabin door and heaved his suitcases into the holder.

"Draco, nice of you to finally get here" Goyle snickered.

"Where's Crabbe?" Draco groaned: Crabbe and Goyle were like magnets.

"Searching for snacks" Goyle chuckled.

Goyle started rambling on about his summer and what he had heard Hogwarts was like, but Draco zoned out glaring at the parents on the platform.
