I had a very hectic day in the office. I was asked to give two back to back presentations and had a client call. I hardly had anytime to sit and have my lunch. After all this was done my manager Veer Sinha called me into his cabin.

"Adhya we have to go with the initial plan we had. The clients need more time to think. We'll just think about having a meeting later", he said. Veer Sinha was known for his perfect suits in the office. He was not very old, he was in his 30s. He insisted that I call him by his name. He was a mentor and a good friend who always backed me up.

"But Veer I worked very hard on this deal. If we set up a meeting I'll be able to convince them", I told in a persuading way.

"I know it Adhya. That's why I want you to continue with this. if we pressurize the clients it might create a bad impression and they will stop the deal from happening"

"Okay fine. You're the boss and it's has to be your decision"

"Adhya I completely trust you and I want you to finish this deal that is why I'm making you wait for sometime. You know what they say 'Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet', so it's okay to wait for sometime to get a sweet reward."

"You don't have to convince me I get that. I'll wait", I said and left his cabin.

After sometime I had my lunch and was working in my cubicle when Divya came.

"Hey wassup?"

"Nothing much. Working as usual. What's up with you? You seem so happy"

"Actually there is something that I have to tell you. Shivin and I are going trekking this weekend with his friends. Wanna join?"

"No sweetie. I have lot of work to do and finish the series that I have been watching . Maybe some other time. You guys enjoy yourselves!"

"I knew you were never going to come. But this was for formality."

"You know you don't have to be formal," I fake smiled.

"Carry on I gotta go", she said.

I was actually very happy. Divya would be gone for the whole weekend. That means I can do whatever I want in the house. I wanted a weekend by myself for a long time and now I was getting it. I was very excited. A whole weekend doing nothing.
