Skyworld had been peaceful ever since Hades was defeated. Palutena has been maintaining the peace but the other gods grew jealous and decided to cast her down to the human world but not before taking her powers. Even the captain of her guard betrayed her for the goddess of nature. As Palutena was casted down, she was gravely injured and unconscious. But then a tall man noticed her and took her into his house.

Toad: I wonder who she is. I'd better bring her inside.
He took her into his house and tended her wounds. After a few hours, she began to wake up.
Palutena: *groggily* huh? What happened? How did I get here? Toad: you were unconscious. I brought you here. I'm Toad Skywalker. Palutena: I'm Palutena. I used to be the goddess of light until I was casted down here. Toad: why were you casted down? Palutena: they betrayed me. Every last one of them. The gods didn't want me to lead them so they casted me down after they took my powers. Now I'm a human. I lost my divinity. Toad: you know, being human isn't as bad as you may think. I mean sure you have a short life but it's not all that bad. Who knows, you might grow to like it. Palutena: I guess you're right. It's not like I can return to Skyworld anyway. I may as well make the most of being human. I bet Pit won't miss me. Toad: Pit? Palutena: he used to be the captain of my guard. Until he betrayed me for Viridi the goddess of nature. Toad: that sucks. You can live with me. Palutena: I would like that.
