I crawled through the dark creaking pipes, damp with water dripping down the stinking walls. I avoided wet slippery spots of rank raw sewage that would hinder my journey. There, I swiveled around to see filtered light that shone in a large circle. I moved forwards to the damp wall where a metal ladder hung bolted to the sides. I climbed up it and the cool night stroked my face. When I emerged from the uncovered manhole, I stopped for a moment to look around. Though my vision was not the best, I still was able to make out the large boxy objects with wheels parked on either side of the road. I exited the manhole and stepped on to the stinking black stony ground, still warm from the days burning sun. I was sure of where I was going and easily passed under the yellow caution tape that surrounded the manhole. Then I started off, ducking and weaving over the pavement and street lights till I came to a large house. It had a huge driveway that sported two white boxes, and next to it there was a lush grass lawn. The house itself was fancy with a mahogany front door and large windows that sparkled from the yellow light of the street lamps. The home was still, not a light shone through it. I turned my attention to the side of the house where a tall dark wood fence stood gallantly. Creeping up to it, I quietly climbed over the fence and dropped down onto the warm flagstone path. The backyard was as rich as the front, it had a large grass lawn and in the far right corner a weeping willow tree. I strode along the path so as to not step in the dewy long blades of grass to get to the porch. For I knew that they always left their door propped open. I crept inside as to not make a sound, and looked around. It was certainly a rich house, and here I would find what I needed. Across the hardwood floor I moved silently till I came to the kitchen. The cool checkerboard tile welcomed me as I crept along. Then I stopped dead as a light flashed on, blinding me for a moment. There stood the creature, it's two long legs shuffled about as it moved to the sink. It's fleshy face, if you could call it a face. Had a giant bulbous nose and two large green eyes. From it's head flowed long thin brown tendrils that cascaded over it's shoulders. I sat there frozen, hoping, praying it would not see me. It stood there for a moment clutching a cup in it's stubby fat appendages. Then it glanced down and shrieked three words. The only three words that I knew. Three words that are forever embedded in my soul. "AHHH, SPIDER KILL IT." At this I started to skitter around frantically, as a large fleshy foot thundered down. I scuttled as fast as my little legs would move. As the large creature stomped near, I skittered under a shelf, where dark, dusty, safety awaited me.
