TW mentions of suicide attempts, please don't read if that will harm you. But to note it has a happy ending, no one dies.

The cold winter's evening hung a tension, as they surveyed the people. All so happy and virtuous, of all sizes and statures, this brought them deeper into their gloom. As they looked up, instead of a bird or a plane they saw another sad person, as they hung their legs off a roof, and to that roof they went. As they climed the steps they thought of their words with care. They cautiously approached, before beginning to speak.
"I'm not here to stop you, I wish to do the same, plus some one as pretty as you shouldn't die alone, so may I join you?"
They replied
"You want to die together? Well sure, I guess it would be nice to have a friend, but if I'm to die with you, might I know you first?"
"Of course"
So they spoke for hours on end; learning about each other and letting their pain out and in the end, they pushed the dieing off for another day, or so they claimed. All know they never did go back to that roof, for they found what they needed most, a shoulder to cry on and an understanding embrace. They didn't get better right away but they did one of those days, with counseling, and each other's support, all were happy for them with not one cruel retort or snort, and after that there happiness was never short.
