~Third Person POV~

Flashback Four Years.

One snowy night, a little girl with dark blue hair lay on the cold ground through the storm, with nowhere to go or stay. The little girl was abandoned. She looked up and saw the beautiful stars that twinkled above her. The stars were beautiful, but it wasn't what she loved. She closed her eyes and felt the cool wind blow against her skin.

"I want to be like the wind..." She said weakly to herself. The girl knew that she was going to die there.

Then she felt something warm carry her. The girl fluttered her eyes open and looked to see what it was. She saw a boy, but she didn't seem to recognize him. That boy that looked her age, but had a concern look on his face. He was carrying her somewhere, but the girl didn't remember where. She closed her eyes again, but then she heard a voice.

"Wendy!" She heard then forced her eyes open. "Wendy, don't worry, you'll be okay!"

The girl, whose name was Wendy, opened her mouth, but couldn't say anything. She then fell asleep.

~Wendy's POV~

I woke up on a soft bed under the warm covers. I sat up and looked around. Then I noticed someone sitting there beside me, he was half asleep and didn't notice I was awake.

"Romeo?" I called him. He immediately woke up.

"Oh, um, hi Wendy." He stuttered. "Are you feeling okay?"

"Why did you save me?" I asked him.

"Because..." He hesitated. "Because it's too early for you to die."

My eyes widened as he said that. "Why didn't you want me to die though?"

Romeo sighed. "You know what? Let's make a promise to each other."

"Huh? A promise?"

"Yeah, you wanted to die because you were alone, right?"

"Well, yeah but--"

"Then let's promise each other to always be by each other's side, that way you'll never be alone!"

I hesitated for a bit, then I decided that I didn't want to be alone. So we promised each other that.

Flashback Ends. Recent Time.

~Romeo's POV~

I walked into Fairy Tail Junior High. It was the school I was enrolled in. After I graduated here, I can go to Fair Tail High. That's the senior high students. They usually visit us so I made a few good friends there.

I went through a long hallway and stopped at my locker. I opened it and grabbed my textbooks and went to class. While I was walking, I overheard my homeroom teacher talking to the principal.

"New student?"

"Yes, she's going to go to your class."

"Hm, she's cute!"

"Yeah, whatever."

That was basically their whole conversation. The bell rung and I started running to class. I got to my desk and put down my books. I sat at the back corner. There was an empty desk to my right. That's probably where the new student is sitting.

Mirajane-sensei, our homeroom teacher, walked in and put her bag down.

"Class," she called to get our attention. "We have a new student today, so I hope you help her feel welcome."

A girl with long, dark blue hair walked through the door. Her brown eyes twinkled softly, as her smile shined brightly. It couldn't possibly be her.

"Hello, everyone. My name is Wendy Marvell." She smiled to the whole class. " Nice to meet you all."

The entire class started whispering about her.

"Shes cute."

"You think we'll be able to be friends with her?"

"Dude, she way out of your league."

"Shut up, no she isn't!"

"I bet she already has a boyfriend."

"Ha! There's no way."

Everyone continued whispering, while I just sat there silent, while my eyes were still in shock of being able to see her again.

Wendy walked over to the empty desk right beside me. She turned to me and I looked back at her.

"Hi, Wendy" I said to her, not really knowing what to say.

"R-Romeo?!" She said in mild shock.

Everyone in the class was looking at both of us. The were whispering more things.

"Are those two together?"

"I told you she has a boyfriend."

"I refuse to accept this."

"They look cute together."

"Hey, what if they're just childhood friends?"

"No way, he's definitely her boyfriend."

Mirajane-sensei smacked a long and thin stick on her desk. "Shut up." She said. And immediately, everyone started doing work.
