Together six children sat in front of the window, they stared in wonder at the colours. On the Ark, it was grey, grey, and greyer. The walls, roof and floor all made from the same monotone colour. Colour can affect the mood and emotions of those who look at it, Grey conveys the feeling of immense sadness or isolation. Isolation, it was a big thing on the Ark, children still have friends and families, but it always ends the same way. Either the groups are split up through the Ark depending on the traits those people possess, never to see each other again or they would be floated, a human with emotions, feelings, children, a future, loved ones. They would be put in a chamber and released into space, Parents would die for stealing food or medicine, whether their child was dying. Young adults just turned 18 would lose their chance at a future because they wanted even a minute of pure happiness.

Happiness, it was something those on the Ark craved, to be able to live without fear or constant pain. Anarchy was one of those people, her and her friends were young when they met, around the age of six. Together they found happiness, whether it be the dramatics during storytelling or having pillow fights that lasted until they were struggling to breathe through the laughter until they caught someone's stare and all set of into another fit of giggles.

On the Ark friendships were hard to gain and quick to lose, and so in front of the window, with the stars and the earth looking through at them, they stood in a circle, everyone in the group held up their pinkies and managed to connect them.

If you promise to stay, I promise to never leave.

That was before the torment,
before they were each torn apart.

The skybox was a place where prisoners under 18 were sent, instead of being floated. When they turned 18 after their case was reviewed, they would either be floated or set back into the Ark, although the latter option was rare.

it had started with Murphy; the boy had gotten sick and his father had been floated for stealing medicine. In a fit of rage, he had set fire to the responsible guard's office, he was arrested, and sent to the skybox.

The skybox was a place where prisoners under 18 were sent, instead of being floated. When they turned 18 after their case was reviewed, they would either be floated or set back into the Ark, although the latter option was rare.

The next two of the group were arrested only a day after when Murphy had not returned to school, they set out looking for him. After finding out he was arrested both Mbege and Devon had attacked the guards, Devon had taken a knife from a guard's belt and pushed it through the same guards' stomach.

Anarchy was next, she had watched two of her best friends be dragged away by the guards, knowing the third had been in the same position only hours prior, she was angry. with a sledgehammer she stole from the engineering workshop, she walked along the hallways of the ark, destroying everything and anything that looked important, the guards found her just before she hit the oxygen generator.

Atom was the fourth member to get arrested, no family wanted to get to the people he loved, with a can of paint from the art room, he spent the night painting over the walls of the Ark when everyone woke up the next morning, giant 8 pointed stars covered the metal, Atom was caught.

Miller was the last to get arrested, he wanted to give his friends a gift, and tried to steal something of great importance to the group, although he got the items, it did not end very well for him.

For three years the group of six had run the cells, many other prisoners became aware of the undying loyalty the group had andwanted to feel like they were cared about. They tried to impress the group bycopying the chaotic actions, starting fights with the guards and lighting binson fire, something Anarchy had become known for.

"Anarchy, you remind me of fire," John Murphy spoke up randomly. All the prisoners were eating lunch, Anarchy and her troop were sitting on the table at the very back of the room.

"why? Cause I'm hot and dangerous,"

"no, because your destructive and uncontrollable," Mbege spit out his food in a laugh, covering Devon in the chewed-up food.

"You know Murph, you say that like it's a bad thing, but I'm Awesome,"

"hell yeah, you are" Atom shouted from his chair on the other side of the table where he was busy wiping trying to stop Devon Cameron and John Mbege from throwing food at each other only for him to get a face full of a brown mashed substance the guards called food.

Miller walked into the lunchroom late, striding with confidence and yet a displeased frown was set across his face, he was supposed to be in the visiting room, as he was one of the more privileged members of the Ark.

Miller's parents were disappointed when he started to hang around children from lower stations, but he did not particularly care, he had found a second family.

Murphy turned to the boy with an annoying grin plastered across his face.

"oh Miller, did your daddy forget to come to visit you," With one quick movement Anarchy's hand reached the back of Murphy's head, the rest of the group snickered while Murphy rubbed his head.

Turning to look at Miller, Anarchy studied his movement, with a smile he pulled her into a hug stuffing something into her jacket pocket.

"What did you take?" Anarchy asked the taller boy. Reaching into her pocket she felt the cold surface of the metal. In her pocket set of six small leather bands, on the end of each was a piece of metal shaped with eight arrows, the universal symbol of chaos.

The necklaces were made by the group when they were 11, each person created one before they were thrown into a hat and pulled out randomly, surprisingly no one got their own, they each put on the necklace and didn't take them off, that was until they were arrested.

"what the hell happened to you?" Miller asked, looking between Devon, Mbege and Atom. The three were sitting on the bench, each with a boyish grin and food stuck in their hair. They stopped their food fight and turned to the group.

Anarchy laughed, they may be idiots, but they were her idiots. She turned to look at all the other juvenile prisoners, most sat in groups at the tables, laughing and talking about whatever. Just like every other day, a group of guards walked through the doors, preparing to take the children back to their jail cells.

"everyone up," lieutenant Shumway, ordered the prisoners. Although all of them turned to Anarchy, waiting to see what she would do. With a smirk, she turned to her crew nodding at them before turning back to the prisoners.

"give 'em hell," with those words the prisoners got up and went to the guards, but instead of allowing themselves to be locked back up, the teenagers began to attack the guards, throwing punches and kicks. Anarchy stood up on the table, bodies collided together, as she watched with a small smirk, looking down at her friends who were itching to join the rowdy prisoners.

"in the chaos, we will thrive."
