Castiel x Reader

It's 5pm on a Friday. You're sitting on your couch watching TV. You were waiting for your boyfriend Castiel to come home from work. He works at an art gallery. He normally works from 10am to 4pm but today he had to stay later because the elementary school nearby went on a field trip to the art gallery. Once the students left, Castiel still had to put his daily hours in. So he was late coming home.

After about 2 hours of watching Law and Order (SVU obviously), you hear the front door being unlocked. Castiel walks in and set his bag on the floor. He shrugs his trench coat off and hangs it on the coat rack by the door.

"Hey Cassie!" You say, getting up from the couch and happily walking over to him. You wrap your arms around his neck and kiss him gently. He kisses back but he seems out of it. You can tell he's exhausted.

"Long day?" You say, frowning slightly. He just nods. He pulls you closer to him, burying his face into your neck. Something he always does when he's tired or upset. You wrap your arms around him and rub his back.

"I missed you." He says, so softly you almost don't hear it.

"I missed you too Cas." You say kissing the side of his head.

"How bout some dinner, hmm?" You ask. "Okay." He's hesitant, but he lets go of you. You grab your phone from the coffee table and order a pizza.

The pizza arrives about 20 minutes later. The two of you sit at the table and eat. You decided to actually eat at your dining room table tonight. Usually you sit on the couch or on the floor with your legs under the coffee table, so you could watch TV while you eat.

After dinner, Castiel heads to the bathroom to take a shower. You return to the couch to continue watching Law and Order while you wait for him to finish.

After about 30 minutes, he steps back into the living room. You can't help but stare at him. He shaved his stubble so now it almost looks like he's got a baby face. He's drying his raven hair with a towel and his chest is glistening with water. He's wearing black sweatpants and he's got a navy t-shirt draped over his shoulder. He's so beautiful, you thought to yourself.

He finishes drying his hair and wipes the water off his chest and then he puts his shirt on.

He catches you staring at him. "What?", he says, looking at you with his confused kitten face. Adorable, you thought.

You get up from the couch and walk over to him. "Nothing," you say, putting your arms around his neck. "You're just gorgeous." He blushes and buries his face into your shoulder. You can't help but smile at how cute he is.

He picks his head up and looks at you. He smiles his cute little smile and you thought you were going to melt.

"Hey Cas?" You say, and he hums in response. "Hm?". "Can we watch a movie tonight?" You ask him, smiling.

"Sounds good to me." He replies. You giggle as you walk over to your bookshelf to pick a movie. You picked one you haven't seen in a while. It's one of your favorites. War Horse.

You walk back over to the TV stand and turn on your xbox. You open the DVD case and slide the disc into your xbox. You turn the TV over so now it shows the title screen of the movie and all you have to do is press play.

Castiel goes into your room and grabs the comforter and a couple pillows while you're in the kitchen making popcorn. He sets the pillows and blanket on the couch and waits for you to come and sit down. Once the popcorn was done you poured it into a bowl and walked into the living room.

Castiel was sitting in the middle of the couch with the comforter draped over his shoulders. You walked over and he lifted up one side of the comforter so you could sit by him. You handed him the bowl of popcorn and you grabbed your xbox controller off of the coffee table and started the movie.

War horse was a bit of a long movie. Castiel was already tired so you expected him to fall asleep. To your surprise, he managed to stay awake for the whole 2-2 1/2 hours. He was currently laying on the couch with his head in your lap. He was seconds away from falling asleep.

He started to get up. "Where you going?" You asked. "Bathroom." He replied, walking down the hall. You grabbed your controller and put Netflix on while you waited for your boyfriend to come back.

About 4 minutes later he came out of the bathroom. While waiting for him you got uncomfortable and laid down on your back. "Where'm I supposed to sit?" He said, almost sounding annoyed. You used your finger and gestured for him to come closer. He sighed.  "Come on." you said. He sighed tiredly in response. He lifted the comforter up and climbed on top of you. He didn't usually like laying on top of you because he was afraid of crushing you in his sleep but he didn't weigh that much and you liked the feeling of having his weight on top of you so you were fine. (Although you have to explain that to him about once a week).

After getting comfortable, he was already yawning, about to pass out. "Cas, honey, you're tired. Go to sleep." You said. "I-i don't want to." He said sleepily. "Cas, your literally about to pass out. Why won't you go to sleep?" You asked.

"I don't- I dont want this night to end." He replied.

"Aw Cas." You cooed. "Baby tomorrows Saturday, it's your day off. We have all day tomorrow to cuddle and watch more movies and do whatever you want." You told him. You rubbed his back and played with his hair.

"Oh.. Right."

"So do you wanna go to sleep yet?"

"Y-yes please." He whispered.

"Okay." 

"Goodnight Castiel" you said, kissing the top of his head.

"G-Goodnight (Y/n)... I-I love y-ou.." He barely got the last part of that sentence out before falling fast asleep.

"I love you too Cas." You whispered, kissing him once more before going to sleep yourself.
