I rushed outside to Draco. I had a wide grin on my face, I was extremely happy.

"What did he want?" Draco asked as I breathlessly approached him.

"We got back together!" I replied excitedly.

Draco's face dropped suddenly. "You're taking the piss, right?" He asked quickly as he turned away from me.

"What do you mean, Draco? I thought you would've been a bit happy for me."

Draco turned around to face me abruptly. His face was full of anger. He walked towards me, getting so close I could feel the heat radiating off him and his breath tickling my cold cheeks.

"No, I'm not the slightest bit happy for you, Dixon." He spat. "Next time he hurts you, you're going to deserve it."

I was left speechless. I stared into his grey eyes, searching for an answer as to why he was being so horrible all of the sudden. "I don't get where this is coming from. I thought you had something to tell me?" I questioned.

Draco took a few steps back and looked to the ground. His face was screwed up in disgust. "Forget about it, Dixon." He hissed. He quickly turned around and walked back into the school, leaving me outside extremely confused.

When I had finally decided to go back inside the castle I went straight to the Great Hall searching for Draco. When I entered everyone was dancing and jumping around to the band that was playing on the stage. My eyes quickly scanned the crowd looking for his white hair. I spotted Harry and Ron sitting at a table on their own. I decided I would go over and see if they had seen Draco as it would probably be impossible to ask anyone else.

"Harry! Ron!" I yelled over the music as I made my way over to them.

The boys quickly looked up at me as I walked over.

"Um... Hi, Victoria." Ron said slightly confused.

I stood in front of them with my arms folded, studying their confused expressions. I rolled my eyes and spoke bluntly. "Have either of you seen Draco?"

"Why would either of us know where Malfoy is?" Harry questioned.

"Because... ugh. Never mind." I snapped.

I quickly turned away from the boys before they could say anything else. I decided I would just try and find Draco myself.

After searching everywhere I could think of in the castle, the Yule Ball was beginning to come to an end and most students were going back to their common rooms, so I did the same. It was the last place I thought I would find Draco tonight so I hadn't checked in there yet. I walked slowly to the common room, my dress dragging along the floor and my shoes in my hand, the cold stone floor soothing my throbbing bare feet. When I had finally gotten myself into the common room I stood at the entrance looking past everyone trying to spot Draco. I finally spotted him and Blaise sitting at a table. I walked over slowly and stood a few feet away from them. They both looked my way and looked me up and down.

"A word please, Draco?" I plucked up the courage to say.

He looked me right in the eye and twisted his face up in disgust. He pushed himself up from the table and began to walk toward me. "I don't have anything to say to you." He spat.

He stared at me for a few seconds. I didn't know what to say to him, his words just completely caught me off guard. He grimaced once more and turned around and stormed towards the dorms. I looked at Blaise and saw he was staring down at the table. I sat down in the spot Draco had just left. Before I could say anything Blaise began.
