"What did Zavala have to say?" I asked Spitter.

"Exactly what you said he would." she answered, floating over to me as I leaned against the railing across from the tower vaults. "Why'd you move all the way over here? Did the crucible game get boring?"

"On the contrary. Game was fantastic, but Shaxx kept yelling at me 'cause I was blocking his view of the screen."

"Shaxx is a big teddy bear, I'm sure he was just really psyched up about the game."

"Shaxx does get way into crucible."

"Shaxx is the crucible."

"You've been spending too much time around Arcite."

"He is a very interesting Red Jack. You should talk to him sometime."

I laughed. "Maybe after we get all this crap on Nessus sorted out."

"Speaking of... you wanna get going?" Spitter asked, ready to call in our jumpship at any moment.

"We should really find a way to get a couple people to help us out with that Gate Hub. There's no telling how easily the vex can manipulate that terminus into something actually dangerous. We need to neutralize it, understand it... do you think...?"

"Knowing the vex, it's likely already dangerous." Spitter answered. "And no, there's no way we can pry Osiris and Sagira away from the forrest for long enough. I've already put up a few notices around the tower and in some hunter dens. It shouldn't be too long before someone notices."

I shrugged my shoulders. "The hunter dens are a waste of time. No one's there. No one's been there since Cayde died. None of them want to get dragged up here to the tower."

I miss Cayde... he was a joker. Always told me he wished I'd find a hunter to be my guardian. Feels kind of poetic that I did."

"Well here I am. Go ahead and call in the ship. We'll search the Arcadian Valley today. I heard some info about activity up there."

We were on the surface of Nesses within minutes. Spitter put me down on a large peninsula surrounded by radiolaria. Aside from the wind blowing my cape around, and the distant sound of Vex structures adjusting and readjusting their small intricate parts, the place was quiet. Far out in the distance, past the magenta trees and large block structures, I could see the round bulbs of the Exodus Black's nose. After a quick intake of my surroundings and a whip of my sparrow, I began my travel.

We passed a few scuffles between Cabal, fallen, and Vex on our way there, but they seemed to either mostly ignore us, or deemed a guardian traveling at almost a hundred kilometers an hour to hard a target to hit. Even so, I made my way to the large wreckage of the Exodus Black.

"Think there's any guardians nearby?" I asked.

Spitter floated a bit ahead of me and turned to face me. "Surely, after they discovered the ships Failsafe AI, a lot of guardians have spent time here. I guess they feel bad for her, being trapped here for centuries with all of her crew dead. I hear rumors they leave her gifts from time to time."

"Wait... what about the ships AI?" I asked, stunned by this sudden revelation of knowledge.

"Yeah... have I never told you about failsafe?" she asked.

"No, you have not! What the hell Spitter! I feel like that's a big important when it comes to finding out what happened to the crew of the ship!"

"Sorry! I got so caught up with you training for the vanguard... Zavala and Ikora keep you busy, you know! Besides, I figured your priority was dealing with the Vex."
