According to an exclusive report on February 17, Mamamoo's Hyemi may be making her acting debut after the cancellation of SBS' 'goodbye my love' last year due to staff members testing positive to COVID-19, and recently having a few cameos in a few dramas.
Industry insiders say that Hyemi was recently cast as a supporting cast on a new drama for tvN called, 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha'.
Currently, it's unclear whether or not Hyemi has accepted the role or not; however, so far there have been a few cast members revealed, including Start up's Kim Seon Ho and Chief of Staff's Shin Mina who are the main characters of the drama.

Hyemi of Mamamoo has been confirmed as the star of a new drama produced by tvN 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha'
Following the report, a source from RBW confirmed, "It is true that Hyemi is starring in the new Romantic-Comedy drama 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha.'"
In December, Shin Mina and Kim Seon Ho were both revealed to be considering an offer to star as the main characters in the drama, and two weeks later it was confirmed that they would be staring in 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha'. The drama will be written by Shin Ha Eun and directed by Yu Je Won. This is the first time that screenwriter and director joined hands to create a drama.
Hyemi is taking her first supporting role through "Hometown Cha Cha Cha." where she will take up the character of Pyo Mi Seon, Hye jin's (Shin Mina) best friend who is a dental hygienist. The filming of the drama is said to start in two months.
Prior to her acting debut, Hyemi has made cameo appearances on a few shows including TvN's Miss Lee and TvN's My Unfamiliar Family
