Summary: the house was oddly quiet, to your surprise you find your boyfriend kokichi crying so you comfort him

You came home from the local store. The house was surprisingly quiet. You were expecting your boyfriend to run and greet you with a hug like he usually does. "Kokichi?" "You home?"

No response.

You were getting a little concerned. He would usually stay in your room playing video games, eating snacks, reading manga, or watching anime. But when you went there he wasn't there.

You immediately went to his room. You gently opened the door...(if yk yk) "Kokichi..?"

Your boyfriend laid on the bed, knees on the bedroom floor. His back was rising up and down. His face was buried in his arms. You heard little tiny whimpers coming from him. ...Was he crying?

"Kokichi?" You slowly approached him. He didn't respond. You sat on your knees next to him. He then quickly turned away and wiped his face with his sleeve.

"Oh  hey Y/N" "Did I get you?" "Did you actually think I was crying?" His voice was shaky.

Kokichi was a pretty good liar and often fake cried but you could tell he was actually crying.

You stroked his soft purple hair. "Kokichi tell me what's wrong." "I know you aren't fake crying this time." You embraced him in a hug. "You can tell me."

He went silent.

You then heard a whimper. He was crying again. He hugged you tight. His little cries turned into sobs.

"shh it's okay, everything's going to be okay. what happened?"

He began to cry again.

You kissed the top of his head and hugged him tighter. He took a deep breath. "Y/N why do you want to be with me.. i'm a waste of time.. i'm a terrible person, you deserve someone better. You were shocked by his response. "kichi... don't say that." He shook his head. "It's true Y/N."

"kichi you're not a waste of time. you're so fun to be around. you give the best hugs. you're the number one person i look forward to spending time with."

"and you're not a terrible person, not at all"

he sniffled.

"Y/N everyone says that i'm a liar, that they cant trust me, they always say that i'm a horrible person, that i'm rude and mean so, why are you so nice to me? if i'm all those things why are you nice to me? why do you treat me so differently than they do?"
"...why?"

"kichi" you kissed the top of his head again.

"you aren't any of those things. if they say that it's because they haven't gotten to know the real you"

"but i know the real you"

"you're so nice, you give the best hugs, you always care for me, you always listen to me and you're so so stunning"

"n/n..."

"i love you so so much kokichi"

"i love you too"

"and thank you for caring for me n/n. you're the only person you sees through the fake me. you're the only one who sees me for who i am, not just a "stupid liar".

"of course kokichi i'm always there for you . okay? if you ever need to tell me *anything* i mean *anything* you can tell me"

"thank you"

"mhm"

"lets watch a little something to cheer you up okay?"

"o-okay"
