{Daniel}

Holy shit, I can't figure this out. It's up and down, light and dark, right and left. It's every contradiction you could ever think of.  How can someone look so innocent, yet be so ruined?

After looking through Phils' sketchbook during History, I gave it to Oliver to give back to Phil. I grab a cigarette from my locker and make my way to the bathroom outside of my math class. I pull out my lighter and cigarette and smoke in one of the stalls. After tossing the cigarette bud in the trash, I unlock the door and grab my things. Oliver was stood at the door, knowing I stopped for a smoke break, waiting for me to go to math with him. He smiled at me when I stepped out and handed me a mountain dew.

Soon enough, the class was over and it was time to go to lunch. I knew this Phil kid was in our lunch, but I wasn't very happy to see him walking over to the bench with Oliver. I just pulled out my phone and another cigarette ignoring the two sat next to me.

God, why does Phil annoy me so much? He gets on my last fucking nerve without doing a damn thing.

I was taken out of my thoughts by Oliver saying my name.

"Dan likes anime too," he exclaimed, "You should come over later and watch some with us!"

what the hell?

"Id love that!" Phil had that same blushy grin on his face he did every time I saw him.

"Dan," Oliver looked over, "are you okay with that?"

no, I'm not. we were supposed to continue our anime, without this stupid twink.

"Yup," oh my god, "it'll be great."

I thought about making up some sort of lie about my mom or something, but Oliver looked so excited that I couldn't get any other words to form.  I don't know what's up with me, but it doesn't matter. What matters is that Oliver is happy and excited that we have a third person to share interests with.

-evening-

Oliver and Phil hopped out of my car and walked over to see my dog that was in the front yard. I laid my head on my hands for a bit before sighing. I grabbed all my things and walked past the two to unlock the front door. My mom was off at work for today and wouldn't be home until midnight. I was glad because if my mom met Phil, she'd take him in and treat him like Oliver. In all honesty, I didn't talk much for the rest of the night. I sat on the chair next to the sofa eating popcorn and looking through my phone. Oliver and Phil were on the sofa watching Blue Exorcist intently. Oliver has already seen it, with me, but he wanted to show Phil for some unknown reason.

It was getting real late when they made it through most of the show. I checked my phone and saw that it was near eleven, shit they need to leave.

"Hey Dan, do you mind if I stay the night?" Oliver questioned sleepily.

"Of course," I look over to Phil, "Do you wanna go home now Phil?"

"Wait, why does he have to go?" Oliver furrowed his eyebrows.

fuck. I can't just say no

"Oh, well," I stuttered trying to think of what to say, "I'm sure he can stay tonight."

Olivers' face lit up, and I just sighed.

"Well, I'm going to text my mom that you and Phil are here," I pull out my phone and text my mom, "you two can sleep down here."

I go up to the bathroom next to my room and turn on the faucet. I throw my clothes in the hall before turning on some music. I sigh a sigh of relief as I step into the shower, feeling the warm water fall on me. After I got done washing my body, I sit down on the floor to just relax in the steam for a while. I didn't even realize I didn't close the curtain behind the glass door until I heard the doorknob turn.  I was startled to see Phil standing at the door, frozen in place.

"Dude, what the hell?!" I exclaim curling into myself to hide my body.

"Oh my god, i-i'm so sorry!" He started blushing wildly as he covered his eyes, "Do you have another bathroom somewhere?"

"No, just give me a minute, and I'll be out." I could hear the frustration in my voice as he tiptoed back out of the bathroom, still covering his eyes.

I stepped out, running my hands over my face and hair. I dry myself off with the towel and tied it around my waist before grabbing my phone. I step out to see Phil standing against the wall awkwardly blushing and staring at me.

"I-I am so sorry!" He started freaking out, rambling on about how sorry and upset he was.

"Dude, it's fine." His eyes widened.

I swear to god, this kid.
