Yes a girl named Dave.

I hate my real name, so I'm called Dave.

Simple.

I only have like one friend.

I don't socialize easily.

I mostly fit in with the guys.

My best friend was this idiot I knew, John Egbert.

But I'm pretty sure he's gay...

Oh well we get along good anyway.

I was hanging out outside with John and one of his friends, Sollux.

We never really talk a lot, but I don't think he hates me.

John was saying something to me when I noticed someone running in the field.

He was pretty short.

Someone else was chasing him.

Is that...

"Gamzee..." I said out loud.

I hated that guy.

Always thought he was so great because he was taller than everyone.

"Dave don't do it.." John said.

"Fuck off Egbert.. Gam is a jerk, and I'm gonna help the other guy." I said.

I got up off of the bench and ran towards the two.

"Hey!!!" I called.

Gamzee stopped teasing the short guy.

"Hey Strider!" Gam said and flashed his annoying smirk.

"Can you like, not mess with him?" I asked when I got to them.

"Sticking up for your boyfriend huh?" Gamzee teased.

"I don't even know the guy!" I said.
Probably just a middle-schooler...

I thought in my mind.

"I'm Karkat Vantas... Junior in high school.." The short guy sighed.
Junior?!?!?!
I'm a sophomore...
He's a third year, I'm a second year..
Wow..

"Oh.. I'm Dave.. Just a nickname.." I said.

"Otp!!!!" John called and I showed him what my middle finger looked like.

"2triider ju2t go!! iit2 not your fiight!" Sollux yelled as well.

"Listen to your friends --" I interrupted gamzee.

bY PUNCHING HIM IN THE STOMACH.

I grabbed that Vantas guy by the arm.

We went back over to Sol and John.

"Thanks but I could have fought him.." Karkat said.

"No problem.. He pisses me off.." I sighed.

"Otp.." John smirked.
