Dave's POV

Damn Gamzee.

Now I need to go save Karkat.

Well...

I think I have an idea.

I knocked on karkats door.

Kankri answered.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"Um a friend of karkats..." I said nervously.

He just let me in.

I guess I'll have to find Karkat on my own.

I hid the frozen bottle of Faygo behind my back.

I've always wanted to do this.

"Kar?" I said and peeked into a room.

Sure enough there was the two.

Gamzee was bothering Karkat.

"DAVE! I THOUGHT YOU'D NEVER GET HERE" Karkat said.

"I got gam something." I said smiling.

The tall idiot looked over at me.

I walked up to him.

"Faygo." I said and whacked him.

With a bottle of frozen Faygo.

He fell backwards onto the floor.

"Whoops." I said looking at him.

"DAVE DID YOU JUST--" Karkat said.

"You said you wanted me to protect you." I said.

He blushed a little.

Gamzee sat up rubbing his face.

"ThAt WaS nOt NeCeSsArY." He said.

"Yeah it was." I said casually.

"I'm GoInG hOmE." He just got up and left.

That left me and Karkat alone.

Alone.

Fuck.

"thanks for saving me Dave.." He said in just a cute voice.

"No problem. Anything for you.." I said.

He blushed more and smiled a little.

I just rubbed his head, messing up his already scruffy hair.

Then he... Purred.

"Oh my god did you just..." I took my hand off of his head.

"S-shut up fuckass." He said and his face was pretty red.

"That's so cute Kitkat." I said laughing.

"Shut up Dave!" He said.

"Sorry.. I was just teasing.." I said.

He looked at me sadly.

I think my soul broke.

I just hugged him.

He hugged me back.

I could tell he was smiling.

And I was too.
