Today Ashton received the call he never thought he'd receive. It was his mother. Ashton's stomach dropped and he felt sick to his stomach. The last time he saw his mother was when he was 18 years old. It's been six years and Ashton doesn't think he'll ever forgive his mother. Not after the the things she last said to him before he went off and never returned.
-Flashback-
"You know what if anything the death of your father is your fault!" Ashton's mother yelled. Tears rapidly fell from his eyes.
"How could you say that?, I had nothing to do with his death." He said wiping the few tears.
"You were always so ungrateful to him, all he did was try and be there for you, but you pushed him away." She said, the look in her eyes were full of pure hatrid.
"So you call coming home drunk every night, missing my soccer games, cursing me out, abusing me being there for me?." Ashton said as more tears fell.
"He didn't love me mother and I wanted a relationship with him but it's to late now." He yelled.
"You know what maybe you're not even my son, maybe you're just a big fuck up, Nobody lives you and nobody will ever love you, sick bastard." She said. That's when Ashton had it. He packed his things and left the house. He held his sister and brother close to him and kissed their foreheads. He continuously told them he loved them and with that he was gone.
-End Of Flashback-
"H-hello?" Ashton said as his sweaty hand almost made the phone slip from his grasp.
"Oh wow you actually picked up, anyways I was just calling to say that I'm coming over." His mother exclaimed over the phone.
"What do you mean you don't even know where I live and why would you want to come over I'm just a big fuck up right?" Ashton said with a sad chuckle.
"I actually do know where you live and come on Ashton that was six years ago get over it, and the only reason I'm coming over is because I heard you have a daughter." She said.
"How'd you find out?" He's asked.
"Well news gets around pretty fast here." She said.
"I'll see you later today." She said hanging up.
Ashton's was angry, sad and scared. He was scared of the countless lies his mother would say to his daughter. His mother would do something so cruel.
"Hi daddy." Taylor said climbing onto his lap and laying her head on his chest.
"You know I love you right?" Ashton asked.
"Of course I know that." She said kissing his cheek. He lifted her head up so she was looking at him directly."Can you promise me something?" He asked.
"Yeah sure." She said.
"Promise me that whatever happens, you'll always love me." He said.
"I promise." She said.
"Now give me a big hug." He said opening his arms out wide. She leaned in and wrapped her arms around his neck.
-
The doorbell rang constantly. Ashton knew who it was already. He was extremely nervous and upset at the same time.
"I'll get it." Taylor said.
"No its okay princess I will." He said getting up.
He opened the door to see the woman he never thought he'd see again. The same woman with blue eyes and blond hair.
"Mom I-" Ashton couldn't get his words out.
"Look how much you've grown" she said pinching his cheek. He didn't know how to react.
"Daddy who's this?" Taylor asked.
Before Ashton could say anything, Anne budged in.
"I'm your grandmother." She said walking up to Taylor.
"Grandma!" Taylor said hugging her.
"Taylor come here." Ashton said picking her up off the couch.
"Daddy what's wrong, you look sad." Taylor said pouting.
"Let me tell you something about your father Taylor." Anne said grabbing Taylor from Ashton.
"He's not a good person." She said.
"Mom please dont-" Anne cut Ashton off.
"He doesn't love you sweetheart, he was mean to me and your grandfather, he's the reason your grandfather died." She said bitter and cold heartedly.
"What do you mean grandma?" She said.
"I can't believe it!" Taylor said screaming.
"Taylor, princess don't believe her." Ashton said.
"I can't belive you would day that about my daddy, daddy does love me, that's why it always makes me sad that I used to be mean to him, cause I love daddy now, he would never hurt anybody, you're a liar." Taylor said.
It made Ashton break down in tears. Ashton was full on sobbing. His mother came back in his life just to make his daughter hate him and it hurt him deeply. But what made him cry more was the fact that Taylor stuck right by his side.
"Don't speak to me like that ever again." Anne said raising her hand about to slap Taylor.
"Don't you dare try it, get out of my house and stay away from me and my daughter." Ashton yelled. Anne rolled her eyes and left slamming the door behind her.
Ashton continuously cried, until Taylor came up to him.
"Daddy please don't cry." She said wiping his tears away continuously. Taylor also began to cry. Ashton began to wipe her tears and soon enough she was wiping his again.
"I'm such a mess." Ashton chuckled while pulling Taylor into his lap.
"Daddy I can't believe she said that about you." Taylor cried.
"It's okay, she'll never bother us again, I promise." He kissed her cheek.
"Princess?"
"Yes daddy?"
"I love you more than anything."
"I love you too daddy."
