Imani sat on the couch, worrying about a lot of things. She was worried about her feelings for Fego, worried that some obnoxious billionaire was trying to reveal her identity to the public. She missed her best friend.
Emma always knew the right things to say. She signed and stared at the food in front of her. She didn't have an appetite. Two kisses with Fego did that. She didn't even know what the kisses meant. Her phone rang, bringing her out of her thoughts. It was Emma trying to FaceTime her.
"Emma," Imani squealed. She could almost cry.
"I don't even have to ask if you miss me. I just know you do," she chuckled.
"You have no idea," Imani sighed.
"I missed you so much, Mani," Emma sighed.
"Greg told me you went to the gallery. I thought you weren't allowed there?" Emma continued.
"That man has a big mouth,"
"Heyyy! That's my boyfriend. Yes, he has a big mouth, and damn does he know how to use it," Emma bit her lips seductively.
"Ewww, Emma. I don't want those details,"
"Sorry you brought Greg up, and I'm not going to lie to you, I'm so horny," Emma pouted.
"Enough about your horniness,"
"So tell me, What's been going on in your life?" Emma asked excitedly.
"Nothing much. The usual. You know, just casual stuff. Just what I do every day," Imani said. She didn't know how to tell Emma about her kisses with Fego without Emma making a big deal out of it. It was a big deal, yes, but Emma was going to start making her overthink things.
"Something happened, didn't it? Mani, did you meet a guy?! Oh my God, Mani is finally getting some," Emma bopped her head excitedly.
"A, I technically didn't meet a guy if I already know him. B, I'm not getting anything," What Imani said didn't stop Emma from doing her happy dance. Emma didn't let the fact that it was a video call hinder her from showing how excited she was for her friend.
"So from what I'm hearing is that there is a guy? Am I right, or am I right?" She asked
"Sort of yes,"
"Tell me everything," Emma squealed.
"Okay. We've made out twice and having spoken about feelings yet. I'm still very confused. I like kissing him, but I don't know if I'm doing the right thing. What if he doesn't like me back? What if he's using me just to pass away time because I'm gullible. Am I gullible? Emma, do you think I'm gullible?" Imani rushed out. Emma was having a really hard time trying to understand her best friend.
"First of you mumble a lot. I said tell me everything like his name, what he looks like, do I know him. I didn't say you should turn me to some Dr. Phil and let me settle your confusion and shit."
"You're my best friend. If I don't tell you any of these things, who would I tell?"
"Leave that one. I just want to know his Instagram and Twitter. Want to know if he's a 10. What's his name from their names? You'll know if they are cute or not," Emma said.
"Why do I even tell you anything? The next time you come to me for boy advice, this is what I would tell you," Imani rolled her eyes at her friend.
"You're so petty. Can I at least get a name for the boy we're about to slander?" Emma pleaded.
"Okay, his name is ......," Imani was cut short because some from Emma's side appeared and was talking to her. Emma needed to be at rehearsals now.
