Chapter 11

*India*
-1week later-
"Oh...its so good to get my car back." I said as i hopped in it.
"So, what are your plans for the day?" Audrey asked.
I shrugged.
"Um, i really wanna check out this building that was left to me from a friend." I said.
"Okay, well i will follow. I have no plans...so i was hoping to spend the day with u." He said as i smiled.
"Okay, im cool wit that." I said as he jogged back to his car.
I drove out the car repair parking lot, driving to the address that was on the paper.
There was an old restaurant building that been closed down for years. I couldnt believe he did all this.
I smiled as tears started comin down.
Audrey came up beside me and took my hand.
"Whats wrong, beautiful?" He asked
I sighed.
"I miss my bestfriend. And before he died, i had no idea he did this all for me. I wish he was still here so i could give him a big hug and kiss and tell him how he is such a punk and drive him to work but no matter how many times i cry, i know he not gon call me and ask me to drive him anywhere ever again." I said sobbing as Audrey pulled me into his arms.
"Damn, India. Im sorry. But just know that he still in your heart." He said as i nodded and he wiped my tears.
"So, whats this building gon be for?" He asked.
"My soul food restaurant. Ima remodel the inside. Thats what Quan would have wanted me to do." I said.
"Quan? You not talkin bout the dude that got shot 3 times?" He asked
"Yes i am...how u know him?" I asked.
"I dont know him...i saw it in the news. It was messed up what they did to him." He said lookin away from.me shakin his head in frustration.
"Yea, well he was my bestfriend. He was more than that. More like my brother." I said as he nodded.
"Well, if u need any help to work around and inside the building. I would be willing to help." He said
"Thank you so much. May i ask why are u being so generous?" I asked smiling.
"What? I cant be nice to a woman that i am most interested in?" He said smiling.
I chuckled.
"Cmon now...wassup Audrey? U done offered way more than i expected, so its my turn to try and help you." She said.
He chuckled.
"Well, here goes nothin...i checked out my hotel room today and i-"
"You can stay with me until your house is ready, i dont mind." I said as he looked at me shocked.
"You know...you are really something special..." he said leaning forward as his lips brushed against mines.
He pulled back and i smiled.
"Thanks." He said.
I bit my bottom lip lookin down. That felt so right for a split second. But, i kept thinking was we right for each other? I dont know what i was thinking when i know him and Heat do the same thing, but im pretty sure Audrey might give up that life if he wanted to get serious...maybe....
*Heat*
"Nigga, i want my money u got 3 days to find that X before i find you. U messing with my product and If u messing with that then u fuckin up my money!" I said hangin up the phone.
I rubbed my head in frustration. India and her question ran thru my head non-stop. She wanted me to give up this lifestyle and if i did, My right hand man supposed to take over which is Audrey. And i wasnt sure if he was ready for all that yet. My phone had rang.
I answered without lookin at the caller I.D.
"Yo?"
"Heat why haven't u returned my calls?" Tanya ranted thru the phone. I really aint have time for this bullshit.
"What the fuck u want man? U caused enough shit through me and India with yo lies and jealousy." I said
"Baby, im sorry. I couldn't take bein the second choice. I wanted us to work and i knew we weren't able to if she was in the way." She said.
"Tanya, when u gon learn that India aint goin no where. No matter how many bitches i fuck and including yo fake ass, she still a big part of my life. I cant just let her go. She been down wit me since high school." I said.
"Nigga u cant be serious?! U only fucked wit India cause u made a bet on her, that u could get in her panties, but i guess u aint expect her to be a virgin-"
"Which is why i love her cause she aint too quick to give it up like yo ass. You spread yo legs to any nigga that got money and a dick to back it up. Dont think i dont know u fucked my lil brother too, cause he told me." I said as the line went silent.
"Exactly, but its all good though. I suggest u stop blowing my phone up if u aint blowing on this dick, now i got shit to do." I said hanging up.
I thought about callin India but i aint wanns bother her, atleast not right now. I probably head over her house a little later to check on her.
-Later On- *India*
"Is that the last of your bags?" I asked.
"Yea, thats the last of them...ima go shower up, u wanna join?" He asked makin me chuckle.
"Im just playing." He said smiling going to the back. I went and put my hair in a pony tail and took off my shirt and pants, showing my sports bra and boy shorts. I went to the kitchen and opened a bottle of red wine pouring some in a wine glass. There was a knock at the door as i was takin a sip of my drink.
"Mm..just a sec.." i said swallowing and putting my glass down.
I went and opened the door, only to regret not looking thru the peep hole.
I rolled my eyes.
"What u want, Heat?" I asked.
He pulled out a red velvet box.
"Whats this?" I asked
"I know its a bit early and i could have waited until tomorrow, but i couldn't. So, happy early birthday." He said as i looked at him surprised. I cant believe he remembered and i forgot all about my own birth date.
"Your gonna open it?" He asked.
"At midnight, i will" i said as i let him inside.
"Whats all this?"
He said referring to Audrey bags.
"Oh...uhhhh Audrey will be staying with me for a little while until his place is finished remodeling." I said as i seen the veins in his for head come out i knew he was mad. I bit my lip.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yea, im straight." He said waving his other hand which held something in a brown bag.
"What's that?"
"Champagne."
I smiled.
"For me?" I asked
"For us" he said sitting it down on the table.
There was something different about Heat since the last time we talked. He was more calm. As i was trying to figure Heat out, Audrey came out the back with basketball shorts an a wifebeater on.
"Wassup, Heat? What u doin here this time of night?" Audrey asked.
"I was here to celebrate India birthday that she so happens to look like she forgot about tomorrow." Heats said makin me roll my eyes.
"Well, lets celebrate then." Audrey said goin to the back as i started filling up glasses of champagne and a glass of red wine for me. Audrey came back with a bag of weed and cigars.
"Audrey, she dont smoke." Heat said as i chuckled.
"Its okay....first time for everything right? I dont mind..." i said as he started to roll up and so did Heat. I started chuggin down this good ass wine sitting down on the couch.
"Why dont u light some candles around the house or sum?" Audrey suggested.
I shrugged getting a lighter and lighting candles around the table. My cell had rang.
"Hello?"
"Happy early birthdayyyyy!!!!! Oh i miss u soooo soo much! How have u been sis?" Irene said excitedly.
" Thank you so much. And i missed u too! And i been okay...i had better times." I said.
"Well, lets make this even better, if u come open the door!!" She said as i jumped up goin to the door swinging it open.
"Oh my goodness! Look at u!" I said suprised.
"No, look at u!! How does it feel to be 24yrs old?!!" She asked.
"I dunno just yet. I still havent processed it." I said as she chuckled givin me a hug.
"Oh my- Ha'Saun?! Boyy, when u get out?!!" Irene said givin him a hug.
"A few weeks ago." He said returning the hug.
"Damn its been so long!!! Im glad to be back home!!! I mean New York City is beautiful and the men but, there is nothing that tops my family." She said.
Irene was my little step sister. More like a miracle. After my mom had me she couldnt have any more kids, one day she found out she was diagnosed with cancer and also found out she was pregnant with Irene. The day she had Irene, she lost alot of blood fallin into a coma, but her heart failed and she passed. Her father took Irene and it seperated us but after Irene turned 18 she would always come over and spend time with me. The last time i saw her was right before Heat had first got locked up. She went to NewYork City to start her career. I never thought i would actually see her agan until now.
"So, how's the designing business going for u up there?" I asked.
She sighed.
"I quit. Every time i tried to make a design, it doesnt get put out there the way i want it to, so i gave up." She said.
"Aw im sorry." I said.
" its okay...i was wondering could i stay here for awhile?" She asked
"Of course...the other guest room is still open." I said as she hugged me.
"Here." Audrey passed me a blunt.
"Your about to smoke? I didnt know u smoked?" She said.
"I dont. This is just for tonight." I said as she nodded.
"Well, if u try ima try with u." She said as i nodded takin a few puffs from the blunt then exhaling as i passed it to her. She took more than a few puffs and exhaling. I took a sip from the bottle of wine.
"Hey, who that fine brother over there?" She asked referring to Audrey.
"Oh, my bad. Audrey this my sister Irene. Irene this is a friend of mine Audrey." I said as she extended her hand shakin his.
"Nice to meet u" he said.
"The pleasure is all mine" she said as i laughed takin the blunt out of her hand as i took some puffs from it exhaling. I was glad she was here. It made me feel a little better that i had part of my family here since Quan was gone. Everything was perfect.
-Passed Midnight- Author P.O.V
"Ahahaaaa..." India laughs while she was upside down on the chair with her legs up in the air. She was high as hell and all she could do was laugh at pointless shit that wasnt even funny.
Irene layed on top of India stomach puffing a new rolled blunt. Audrey and Heat looked at each other shakin there heads smiling. They knew that India first time smoking was gon end up like this but little did they know India wanted to go far and beyond tonight.
"Irene i got a question?" India said snickering.
"Yea wassuh boo?" She said blowing the smoke out in the air.
"You a virgin?"
"Girl, no. I already experienced the other side of the D." She said as India sat up.
"Really? Damn, i needs to get laid." India whispered to her but more to herself.
"Your still a virgin?!" Irene screamed out as she busted out laughing. I rolled my eyes as Audrey and Heat were laughing on the other couch as well.
"Fuck all yall."  I said getting up getting the champagne bottle and takin a swig from the bottle.
Irene came over to my side...well if u do choose to lose it tonight, i want Audrey. He looks like a street made nigga that i like..." she said as India looked at her crazy.
"U like street made niggas?"
"Cmon, u were with one all thru high school." She said referring to Heat.
India shook her head.
"Nooo...i was with a sweet made man." She corrected Irene.
"Oh, open your eyes! Everyone knew that he was a drug dealer before he got wit u. U now he still looks good. But u know i think Heat has a heart to give up the game. I mean his dad did when he married his mom. Heat just feels like he needs to follow in his father footsteps. But im sure he gon give it all up soon." She said.
"You really think so huh?"
"The apple dont fall too far from the tree" she said as she passed the blunt to me. Maybe she was right...what if Heat could change. It would take alot of time but i dont know.
I saw Irene all up on Audrey. They seemed to be enjoying themselves. I sat next to Heat layin on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me.
"You know this is the closest u been to me since i got out" he said as i chuckled hitting the blunt.
"Kiss me, Heat" India said as she looked up at him.
He chuckled and leaned down kissing me as his tongue danced with mines.
"I want to fuck." She said biting her lip grabbing his pants.
"Nah, baby." Heat said grabbin my hand.
She frowned at his answer.
"But why not?"
He chuckled again.
"Trust me...thats not u talkin. Thats the weed. Cause if i end up hittin tonight, u gon wake up in the mornin regretting everything. So, this is me helping u, so i can help myself." He said as i smiled kissing his lips.
"Thanks" i said as i got up turning on the radio as "It seems like your ready by r.kelly was playing. I went to the back putting on some lingerie.
I went up front and got on the table as all attention was on me with wide eyes.
"India what u doin?" Heat asked.
She laughed seductively.
"Just watch me." She said as she was winding her hips to the song.
Irene mouth was popoed open as i grabbed my heel pullin it up to the air as it looked like i did a side split with out holding on to anything.
"Oh my god...am i high or did she really just do that?" Irene asked.
She was just doin the moves that she learned at the strip club.
After the song was over she got off the table and got on top of Irene as she grabbed the champagne bottle and took a swig before kissing Irene on the lips. Irene looked shocked.
"Oh my godddd!!! Ewwww!!!!" Irene said as she laughed.
"Sorry sis, i forgot who u was for a sec.-" then out of the blue India passes out on the floor.
"Damn, she knocked out." Irene said.
"I got her." Heat said as he picked India up off the floor and took her to the bedroom closing the door.
"So, u like India?" Irene asked.
"Yea, i like her. She has a big heart. But i think tonight i just realized no matter what i do, Heat will always have a hold on her." He said as Irene agreed.
"Yea, well she wants Heat to give up his lifestyle and start over but Heat hasnt come to an option to what he gon do just yet...but i think he gon give it up." Irene said.
"Well if he do, then he must really be crazy about her cause if India would of asked me to give up my lifestyle, i dont think i would have the heart to do it. I mean this is what i do for a living, this all i know. I would except any woman as great as India but not if i have to give up lifestyle" he said.

*Meanwhile*
"Heattttt...make love to me...u cant leave me here like this..." India whined.
Heat laughed.
"Your so drunk and high i dont think u realize it." Heat said takin off his shirt.
He got between India legs kissing her lips passionately. She grabbed his pants again.
"India, not tonight..."
"Heat pleaseeee....." india whined it almost looked like she wanted to cry.
"Let me hold u for right now and later on tomorrow night if u still feel strongly about it then, i will consider it when your sober. Just chill ma." He said turning us over where i was on top.
India sighed.
"I love u, Ha'Saun." She said before she drifted off to sleep.
All Heat could think of was that question she threw at him awhile ago...he still was trying to process what he wanted to do. But, until then he was stuck in between 2 things he loved.....
