Ellise's Pov
"Alright, I do apologize, Shoto seems to be running a little late, while we wait why don't you explain your quirk to me." My body was filled to the brink with anxiety, his voice was filled with so much authority that could honestly put anyone into fear really quick.
My day wasn't suppose to be like this, in fact long when I was a teenager my mom use to keep our hidden family quirk in the shadows, for a long while quirk marriages weren't a thing.
But then all of a sudden I'm being rushed into thinkers building, with my mom who seemed excited saying we were a main pick for a quirk marriage with the one and only Enji Todoroki, the man who once was the number one hero.
I fidget greatly with my hands a little before I sat up as straight as I could clearing my throat when I felt my mom's eyes on me and Enji's as well.
"Umm, so have you ever seen Avatar The Last Air Bender?" I questioned watching Enji raise an eyebrow at me before he was nodding his head slowly.
"Yes, I recall my son's friends once when they were over talking about it." I tried not to laugh quietly.
"So our family quirk is basically we all can control elements and to some limits metals, the running joke in our family is we our avatars." I chuckled while my mom chuckled rubbing at her face.
"That's quite amusing and impressive, so the elements, that include, water, earth, fire, air, ice, and metal?" Once again I nodded my head adjusting my headband on my forehead a little.
"The children alone would be unstoppable." He started muttering to himself grinning I turned my attention away from him to focus when the door to the meeting room open.
"Sorry, when you called in I was patrolling." I heard a slightly husky deep voice call out. So this must be Shoto the number two hero. I thought a little uneasy I watched him make his way to sit next to his father.
"That's quite alright, glad to know you are taking your hero work seriously, now Shoto this is Ellise." I looked away when I felt his two different colored eyes gaze at me fully before he was messing with his hair deeply.
"Nice to meet you, what was the reason for you calling me here? Is she a new sidekick?" I started to slouch a little. My mom must be doing this for money, I'm twenty one and this would be the only reason she would do this.
"Shoto, Ellise is your new wife as of today, I've been sent in a whole bunch of confirmations regarding quirks, trying to find the most compatible with yours and their family quirk is one that I can grantee our family name Todoroki will stay in history, they can control the elements."
I saw Shoto's eyes grow with a quick rage so quickly.
"No dad, you promised me you wouldn't try and take control of my life anymore, I'm happy with Momo, and where I am, I thought quirk marriages were illegal." Shoto sighed heavily.
Yeah, I thought the same. I thought.
"Of course it's not totally illegal, Shoto there's no getting out of this it's for the sake of the family." Enji declared out.
"It's always for the sake of the family, it's always with me, what about Natsuo? Or Fuyumi she could easily have kids." I watched the two argue deeply.
"They already are starting families, it's time you speed up the process there is no getting out of this Shoto, Ellise will be perfect, you will marry her and produce a few offsprings." Shoto scowled hard but didn't even say anything else but pressed his hand into his cheek quite hard.
"I apologize for you both having to see this, he is quite stubborn, even at twenty one." Shoto rolled his eyes slowly and I kept playing my hands slowly.
Sometimes when I'm nervous my quirk acts up so I hope I don't accidentally freeze or set something on fire. "Ellise your chair is smoking," Shoto grumbled out.
I was quick to yank myself out of the chair fast holding my hand out to shoot out some water in a huge orb from my palms quickly trying not to set the whole office on fire. I quickly bowed my head a few times shyly.
"I'm sorry... sometimes when I'm nervous my quirk acts up." I laughed nervously seeing my mom was facepalming slowly and Shoto stared at me interested.
"So interesting," Enji muttered.
"Can you use them all at once?" He asked. I fluttered my eyes a few times but I held out both hands summoning some fire.
A bit of air, some ice, water, and some chunk of earth letting them all float around me in a circle. Shoto's eyes grew so wide yet again so fast sitting up and my mom looked proud.
"The children!" We all turned to when Enji was shouting like a mad man but he then cleared his throat a little almost embarrassed.
"I mean welcome to the family Ellise."
