I went to Undertaker. He looks sad. I was pissed.
ME: "What?"
UNDERTAKER: "I know why you're mad at me. I want to say I'm sorry."I turned the other way and walked. I don't think anything will get me to turn back.
UNDERTAKER: "It's Paul."
I stopped.
UNDERTAKER: "Paul passed away and I didn't know how to deal with it. I know it's not a good reason to ignore you, but I didn't want to start crying over the phone."I don't know what would happen, if anyone in my family passed away. I hugged him. I never dealt with other people dying, but there was a time I thought I would.
*Flashback*
I was in a hospital bed. This was supposed to be my junior homecoming dance. I wasn't going anyway. I would be alone. My cousin came through the door.ME: "Is your mom also coming back?"
MATTHEW: "It's just me, this time."He was holding a VHS player.
ME: "Why do you have that?"
He plugged it in and came to me.
MATTHEW: "Can you scoot over?"
I did and groaned.
MATTHEW: "I'm sorry."
ME: "It's not you."He got in the bed and sat up, on top of the sheets. I was laying under the sheets.
MATTHEW: "Where does it hurt?"
Me: "Everywhere. My legs, arms, neck, and head."
MATTHEW: "I'm sorry this happened. You should just lay down and eat something. A nurse took me to the free snack room and I got you some cookies."
ME: "Thanks! Just put them on the table."Matthew turned the VHS on. We were watching a WWE documentary I've never seen. I smiled for the first time in a long time. I cuddled up with my Hulk Hogan plush doll. After the movie, visiting times were almost over.
MATTHEW: "I should get going."
ME: "Thank you for being here."I groaned in pain. Matthew hit the button that alerted the nurse, then left.
