Hello I'm back with another story. I've been in search Nate/Sammy fics, and couldn't find what I was looking for. So here I am, doing what I must. Writing yet another fic to satisfy my feels and hopefully yours as well!

--- --- --- --- ---

It was an ordinary day at school, Sammy met up with his best buds Jack G. and Jack J. before school started and talked about how crazy the party that Jack G. hosted was. Gilinsky stopped arguing over how he didn't do much, and finally accepted some praise from his best friends. But that was praise was short lived since the boys had to go to first period. "Okay, see you at lunch Johnson." Sammy said, and Gilinsky did his handshake with Johnson before saying "See ya." Sammy and Gilinsky both had the same first period, Senior English. "You ready for Mrs. Talbot?" Jack asked, and Sammy chuckled before replying "No one is ever ready for that woman, she's the definition of evil isn't she?" Jack nods before stating "She must have a soft spot, right? And we need to find it before she grills us." Sammy grinned in agreement as they arrived at the door of Mrs. Talbot's room.

"Welcome everyone, I know that you guys like to sit wherever you want, but in my classroom that isn't an option. So get up and I'll assign you your seats." the teacher said sternly right off the bat. In the end Mrs. Talbot did a fine job separating Sammy and Jack G. probably unintentionally. She then went on to hand out worksheets that seniors are to take great notice in, which neither Sammy or Jack really did. When Mrs. Talbot started discussing the curriculum, a loud knock interrupted her. "Come on in." she said in a clearly frustrated tone.

The door opened pretty slowly, as if the person behind the door regretted ever turning the handle. Within seconds a figure of a young guy appeared in the doorway and asked, "Is this Mrs. Talbot's class?" The teacher looked at him from head to toe, and answered to him "Yes, as if it weren't more obvious, there's a sign on the door with my name on it." The guy scoffed "Well So-rry for making sure, Mrs. Talbot." The teacher now surprised at his response, grew quiet as she wrote something down in her planning book. "Your name please?" she asked the guy not once looking him straight in the eye. "Skate Maloley" the newbie replied. "Nate? Nate Maloley?" She corrects him. "It's Nate, but I prefer being called Skate." She marks something down before saying "We don't always get what we want, do we Nate? So please take a seat. Right in front of uhh... Jack Gilinsky."

Skate looked at her with deep hatred, being denied the right your preferred name kind of hurts. He looked around hoping that this Jack Gilinsky will show who he is, because Mrs. Talbot didn't give him much to go off of. Luckily Jack G. understood what Skate must have been scanning the room for and raised his hand up and waved then patted the seat in front of him saying "Over here Skate, this empty baby in front of me." Sammy grinned from across the room at Jack, for his subtle rebellious comment towards the teacher.

After Mrs. Talbot cooled down from her anger high she went over the class syllabus and assigned to have the book that the class will be reading in class in the next two days. Sammy noticed that throughout the class Jack G. started whispering to the new guy Skate. At first it was no biggie, since Skate was a new guy. But within the hour, it seemed that Jack forgot that Sammy and he were in the same class. He was too busy with bonding with the new guy Skate. As Mrs. Talbot was finishing up her speech the bell cut her off and the students stumbled out of the classroom. Sammy didn't bother to go so fast, he caught up with Jack G. who also stayed behind the others. As he pat Jack on the back and walked out of the classroom alongside him he now saw Skate who never left Jack's side. Skate had some sick tats covering his arms. "Skate is it?" Sammy asked. Skate kind of looked up from his conversation with Jack and nodded. And before he can introduce himself Jack spoke for him, "That's Sammy one of my best bros. Dude you've got to meet J.J." Sammy saw how excited Jack G. was and decided not to bother him with his annoying questions. He had Chemistry next, and he decided to ditch the guys since he felt a bit hurt and left out. "Kay, I'm gonna go find Mr. Stromsburg, I've got chemistry." Jack G. does the handshake with him and Sammy walks away into another direction. He knew something will be up with this Skate kid busting into their lives, and fitting in like he was here the whole time. He already felt like he was being replaced.
