schlatt was pacing by his front door waiting for wilbur to arrive. this was their first date and he was very nervous.

since they're both homebodies, they decided to stay at schlatt's place and climb to the roof to chill and watch the sunset. simple plans, something they could've even done as friends, but its different now. a good different.

there's a small knock at the door followed by a second, louder one.

his heart is basically pounding out of his chest. schlatt stands there for a moment, unknowing of the equally as nervous wilbur on the other side.

wilbur was nervous but very much excited. the date was his idea and he's been looking forward to it for about a day because they just made the plans.

schlatt opens the door to see wilbur in his basic outfit. a striped sweater with jeans, except this is a sweat he's never seen him in before. he smiles up at wilbur, not sure what to say first.

"um- come in." schlatt says opening the door wider so wilbur can come through. he closes the door behind them.

the first thing wilbur does is pull schlatt into a tight hug. he wraps his arms around schlatt's neck and rests his head on his shoulder. schlatt responds quickly to the hug, gently wrapping his arms around wilbur's abdomen.

"hi schlatt" wilbur says sweetly. schlatt's face softens as he smiles. schlatt is a man with a loud, confident personality but one word from wilbur and he'll turn so soft and submissive.

"hey wil" he says back quietly. schlatt takes a moment to tell himself to be more confident during this date.

wilbur pulls away even though he wants to hold onto schlatt forever. schlatt pulls back as well but holds out his hand for wilbur, who takes it with a wide grin.

he leads wilbur upstairs to his room. wilbur has only been in here once before with a few other of their friends for only a short time.

he glances at the poster covered walls, "love the room decor." he says. schlatt looks around his own room, he's never thought much about how the things on his walls look. he just tacked a bunch of stuff up, not caring how it looked. "oh, thanks." he replies with a smile.

schlatt goes over to the window by his bedside and opens it (picure those windows that open like doors, that go outwards 👄). he steps back a bit and motions towards it, "ladies first!"

wilbur scoffs but obliges. he puts a leg out and onto the roof, then the other, making his way out. he admires the fields of land schlatt's house sits on, for a moment. then he moves to the side to allow room for schlatt to come through. schlatt trips his second leg a bit on the window seal and stables out on the roof. "oh fuck me."  he mutters before stabilizing himself.

wilbur chuckles, "slow down there, its only the first date!" schlatt rolls his eyes at the comment.

he leads wilbur up higher up the slanted roof carefully to a more flat bit. theres a blanket lying there, little pillows sat at the top of it.

wilbur looks at schlatt with a smile then back at the schlatts set up. "its cute!" he exclaims. schlatt looks back at him with a small smile, "you like it?" wilbur pets at his hair. "I love it, schlatt."
