arriving at the ball was a dream. the girl slipped on her mask, and stepped out of the car, grabbing tsukishimas hand. she smiled, letting go and stepping forwards, him trailing behind.

'hot summer days, rock and roll, the way you'd play for me at your show'

the sound of young and beautiful blasted over the ball room. everyone had looked astounding, neatly put together. couples dancing together, others standing around and talking. the girl easily spotted tendou, ushijima easy to find next to him. kei gave her a smile as they departed ways. she nodded her head before making her way down the steps.

the girls e/c eyes followed the crowd, looking for that head of grayish blonde hair she adores oh so much.

she continued down the steps, making her way into the crowd of people. "excuse me..." she whispered, pushing through people.

she began to grow anxious as she made her way through the crowd, walking towards the middle of the room.

she continued to walk, pulling the skirt of her dress up a little over her feet as to avoid a fall.

she picked up the pace, reaching the middle of the room. she slammed into someone's broad back.

she looked up, semi looking down at her. he smiled.

he looked breathtaking. polished shoes, grey tux, with a white tie, his hair neatly done but still managing to look messy.

'all that grace, all that body, how that face, makes me wanna party'

he whispered into her ear, taking her hands and spinning her before bringing her to his chest.

he stepped back from her, taking a once over of her entire look.

she giggled, giving her dress a quick sway before continuing to dance with him.

he smirked, bringing her face to his and cupping her cheek, kissing her softly before wrapping his arms around her waist, swaying back and forth with her.

he breathed, staring down at her.

she looked up, his grey mask making his brown eyes stand out even more.

he lifted her mask up over her face, smiling at the entire sight in front of him.

he told her softly, holding both sides of her face.

she brought her hands up to hold his biceps, a soft smile grazing her features.

she pulled his mask up over his face, like he did to her, and kissed him, kissed him like she never would again.

she knew, and he knew, this was right. even with all the chaos the world brings, this was one right thing in their life.

and if three gentlemen in the corner were proudly cheering inside, they would never let anyone else know that though.
