"What was this?"  Louis couldn't help but think to himself. He knew who the woman was, it was Anne, the beloved Anne who had cared for him when his mother was away, it didn't matter what Anne could've had planned that day she was always willing to help.

Louis was so lost in his own thoughts he didn't realize how messy he had become with his breakfast. He couldn't help himself from thinking of what this could mean. Did Anne want to see Robin more often, maybe she did? Hopefully, Robin would invite her over for tea one day, a tea party for the three of them.

Louis must've had his mind in the clouds, he didn't even realize that the door had shut and Robin was making his way over to the table now, a small note in his hand.

As much as the curiosity drew him in, making him want more. He knew this information was none of his business, but the fact that it was Anne it seemed to matter that much more.

"Oh Louis, you've made quite the mess here." Robin chuckled, here why don't I draw you a bath and we'll go to the park once you're ready."

Louis couldn't find the words that were on the very edge of his tongue, typically he would be the most talkative but his mind was so wrapped up in other things that he couldn't.

"Well aren't you a shy caterpillar this morning, I hope you enjoyed your breakfast, I can promise you I am not the best cook, but I do make mighty fine pancakes when it comes to that."

A smile was the only thing visible on his face, the laugh lines easily seen under his eyes and he couldn't believe how easy it was for him to be happy around Robin.

He soon stood up, heading for the bathroom with looked fairly large bathroom, it was also very expensive too from Louis' outlook.

A body mirror was in the corner, along with a roomie bathtub, and beside the bathtub to give you quite the view was an aquarium filled with fish and different sea type creatures.

"What do you think Lou? Does it suit your fancy, I mean, I want you to feel at home."

Robin sounded nervous, which was odd, at least Louis anyway. His interpretation of most adults,  usually they were overly confident.  Maybe that wasn't the case here, or it didn't seem that way.

Louis blinked, did he really just get lost in his own thoughts again? He was now in the tub, bubbles surrounding him and bubbling up causing a never-ending bubble frenzy. He loved this, well, this certain part. One other part not so much, he was now alone. Why would Robin do this? Did he leave the poor boy alone to bathe by himself?

Louis couldn't think after that, brimming tears were all to be seen, and he no longer enjoyed the bath.

Robin instantly heard the boy's cries and not only that but how he was talking, which sounded broken. He was repeating himself, or so it sounded to his own ears.

"Don't leave me...." He would say, the broken tone, almost frightening considering he had never heard such a thing. Especially from Louis, he hadn't known him long and it was obvious he didn't know him very well

Robin was by Louis's side, no matter if he wanted him there or not, it felt mandatory as a father figure to Louis to be here for him when he was in his saddest state of life.

"Don't worry Lou, I'm here now,  I promise I won't leave you alone anymore." Robin smiled when he saw Louis finally calm down.  "I am so sorry for leaving you, I thought you wanted privacy so I left to be in my room, but I understand now."

Louis only hiccuped, but nodded his head, he loved how Robin explained himself and apologized for how he acted and how he promised to change his behavior for the better.

It didn't take long for him to become clean and he was soon drying off, the amount of time was barely even twenty minutes, but he still felt refreshed. Robin took him to the next room, picking out a Nike tee shirt and a pair of shorts. Apparently, by the looks of it, Robin used to have children of his own, or so he thought.

When Louis was finally dressed, with Robin's help of course they finally made their way downstairs and soon walking to the park. A cool breeze swept over the atmosphere, it was fall now and Louis wasn't used to the new feeling.

"May have to cut this trip short." The older man spoke shaking his head not liking the drop in temperature himself. Louis could only nod his head in agreement, of course, the change in weather was a bummer but the change of his view was already making things better. A positive of every negative situation. Louis could only think to himself.

"Can we feed the ducks?" Louis asked, with a little hopefulness in his voice, he actually really adored animals, even though these were birds, they still made his eyes glow.

Sighing, Robin only shook his head.  "Sorry pal, I didn't bring anything to feed them this time around, I thought we were just going for  walk."

It was okay, obviously, there would be another time, and even though he was impatient he managed to hold his tongue.

Louis could see an overcast of darkened clouds in the sky now, was that the beginning of a sunset, he was always really fond of those, especially when he became anxious about things. It brought him peace and serenity.

"Wow, Lou, look at this." His mum would say as they looked at the sun setting one afternoon, it was quite beautiful. The yellow, orange, and a few purple streaks going across the sky as the sun went down.

He remembered being almost six at the time, now he was twelve, what honestly happened in his life? What happened for him to end up here? And above all, why wasn't his parents looking for him?

He shouldn't care about it, but the pain of not wanting to be found, well it ached in the pit of his stomach. The ache was always going to be there, no matter if Robin was his caregiver or not.
