They force him to sit on the chair in the middle of the room while I keep my gaze focused on his face. He is hurt and confused. His face isn't the same than when he left for the mission. Why isn't he the same? What happened? Is he okay?
The scientists leave him on the chair, alone, while they go discuss in a corner of the room. I quickly walk up to him and kneel in front of Soldier.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
But before he can say anything, a guard grabs my arm and forces me to stand up. He leads me to where I was and orders me to remain still. Soldier turns his head to look at me and I immediately understand that something is not okay. He is not okay.
When the scientists come back to him, they ask Soldier a few questions, and even though he stares at their face, Soldier remains silent. I watch the scene in perfect silence, wondering what is going to happen. He is not okay. What can I do? I need to help him. I have to help him.
I hear the scientists asking another question, and instead of answering Soldier turns his head to looks at me. When he nods, I know that whatever is going to happen, I'll protect him. And so, he frees himself from his chains and fights.
I turn to the guards on my left and freeze them before running toward Soldier. When I see a guard shoot a bullet in his direction, I stand behind Soldier and the bullet ricochet on my bust. My mind is like veiled by a dark shroud of anger. I lift my right hand and a dark smoke comes out of it. It quickly gets to the guard and starts grabbing his throat. When it tightens it, he lets his weapon fall on the ground and start suffocating. He tried to hurt Soldier, that is not okay.
However, the smoke disappears when I feel a hand grabbing mine. The guard falls on the floor as I turn around and see Soldier nodding to me. I look down to our hands holding each other and smile. Soldier urges me to follow him and we run out of here, together.

"He called you Bucky?"
Soldier nods as we walk in the streets of this big city, hand in hand.
"I like Bucky," I say jumping in front of Soldier. "Bucky is cute"
"You know what cute means?"
"Yes. I heard people say that about animals"
"So, I'm an animal?" Asks Soldier, amused.
"No no! You are Sol-" I stop myself and wonder. If his name is Bucky, why do I keep calling him Soldier? "You think you are Bucky?"
"I don't know. That's why we're going there, to figure it out," he answers.
I go stand back on his right and we continue to walk, side by side.
"Do you think this man is good?" I ask.
"I don't know"
"I think he is kind, he saved you"
"How do you know what kind is?" Asks Soldier, taking a quick look at me.
"Kind is what you did to me, years ago in that cage. You saved me"
"You could've saved yourself"
"I know. But you knew that too," I reply.
He stops to look at me. I smile and use my free hand to put back a strand of hair behind his ear and under his cap.
"Come on! I want to know if you are Bucky," I state cheerfully, jumping in excitement.
Soldier giggles and we walk again. People do not pay attention to us and I do not either, they are boring. Soldier is not.
