My chains explode and I open my mouth big to freeze the cell. It breaks and I fly to the door. My palms directing to it in order to freeze it, and when I hit the metal it breaks into hundreds of pieces. Once I'm outside, the guards start shooting at me. An alert resonates in the building and I try to focus back on Bucky's voice to find out where he is.
"No," he murmurs.
"Rzhavyy"
I wasn't wrong, he has the code. I keep on listening to it while other guards rush to me. I look down to them and shoot ice rays to freeze the ground, making it impossible for them to walk.
Come on Bucky, where are you?!
"YA gotov sledovat'," he finally says.
NO!
"Bucky!" I yell again.
My eyes start glowing blue and I fly through the walls to where Bucky is. I finally found his position, but I need to get there fast.
And when I arrive where I heard his voice coming from, I only see men laying on the ground, unconscious.
"Bucky," I whisper in fear. Not in fear that he could be hurt, but that he could be dangerous to himself.
"What happened?!" Shouts a voice behind me.
I turn around and grab Steve by his neck to hold him against the wall, meters away from the ground.
"Where's Bucky?! What did you do?!"
"We didn't do anything!" Yells Steve back.
"Help me. Help," I turn to this voice on my left. It's the man who was interrogating Bucky, it's his voice.
I let go of Steve and fly quickly to the man. I grab him by his throat and fly him off the ground.
"Who are you? Where's Bucky?! What do you want?!" I yell, completely out of control.
"To see an empire fall"
Then, I hear something crashing against the wall behind me. I turn my head and see Steve's friend, a dark skin-toned man, ducking. I look up and see Bucky.
"Bucky!"
I let the man fall on the ground and fly to Bucky. But before I can get to him, he grabs Steve's friend and throws him against his cell.
"Stop!" I shout to Bucky as I fly down to stand in front of him.
He stares at my face, breathing heavily, and I gently put my hand on his cheek. I caress it with my thumb and smile.
But Bucky grabs my wrist and throws me against the wall. Steve rushes toward him and they start fighting. Bucky is Soldier again, however, I cannot let Steve fight him.
I stand on my feet, but my head starts burning again. I grab it with my hands and fall to my knees, screaming to death. It's happening again, just like in HYDRA. I am burning from the inside of my skull. Lightings are running inside my head and quickly makes my whole body tremble. My head falls on the ground, and while I scream in suffering, I raise my hand toward Steve. I am burning, but no one is gonna hurt Bucky.
I shoot Steve with an ice ray that flies him at the other end of the corridor, he breaks the elevator door and falls inside. Bucky turns around to look at me while I'm still screaming.
"Soldier," I succeed to whisper.
His gaze has mixed feelings. He is fighting against himself. And a part of him must remember me because he runs toward me and grabs my waist to throw me on his shoulder before running out of here.
The lightings continue to rushes through my body while Bucky keeps on running. Why doesn't it stops? It used to stop quickly at HYDRA, why isn't it already over?!
I hear Bucky fighting back people with his metal arm, and I try to open my eyes to help him, but I can't. The pain is paralysing me. Something is wrong with me, I've never been this hurt before, not even at HYDRA. So why now? What is it?
I'm thrown away from Bucky's shoulder when a stun-burst hit us both. Tables break when I crash them, but the lightings aren't stopping. I hear gunshots being fired and Bucky is still fighting. I succeed to open my eyes and see him fighting against a man with glasses and a weird red metallic gauntlet. When Bucky throws the man away, two women run toward him. The blonde kicks Bucky, and I try to focus on my right hand to lift it. After a few short seconds, I succeed and shoot her with ice. The strength of the shot flies her to the other end of the room.
The lighting inside my head gets stronger and I scream louder. Bucky's gaze falls onto me and when he starts walking toward me, the red-headed woman kicks him. She gets on his shoulders and starts punching him. I close my eyes again because of the pain, and again, this voice appears.
Bring Ragnarök.
Who are you? What is this Ragnarök? What do you want from me?
Unleash the beast.
What beast? What is he talking about?
Bring Ragnarök!
My eyes suddenly open up and the lightings stop. Something surrounds my hands and when I see dark smoke flying around me, my body fills itself with hatred. I look up at Bucky and a dark skin-toned man is fighting him. I can sense my eyes turning black and this sensation of warmth fill up my body. The smoke fly me off the ground and I can feel it running up my arms and my legs to my head, just like before. And once again, I am not trembling.
I look at the man fighting Bucky and raise my hand toward him. Black smoke flies away from me to grab him by his throat. Bucky glances behind his shoulder and when he sees me, he nods and indicates me to run alongside him toward a staircase.
I fly behind him, but when he reaches the top of the stairs, the man is back. Before he can touch Bucky, I stand before him and lift both my hands to shoot dark smoke which makes him fall off the staircase. I follow Bucky to the roof of the building and I see a helicopter. I use the smoke to open the door and Bucky sits inside.
When he gets the helicopter to fly off, I hear footsteps behind us. I turn around and see Steve running to grab the helicopter landing gear with his right hand and the railing with his left one. I fly down to him and grab his throat, dark smoke enveloping it. My black eyes glow in his blue, with a touch of green, eyes. He stares at me, screaming, trying to keep his hold on the helicopter.
"Bring Ragnarök," it's not my voice, it's the man's voice talking through me.
Steve is about to let go of the helicopter when its nose slams into the edge of the helipad making me fly away from Steve. My head hits the roof and as I'm about to stand up, someone grabs my waist to make me duck. I glance at Steve who's still holding my waist, shouting me to stay down.
When the helicopter stops, Steve stands up and walk toward it. Bucky's arm smashes through the glass and he grabs Steve's throat. Then, I notice that the helicopter's pieces are falling in the water. I raise my hands, letting the smoke fly out of it, to grab Steve's body. As it tightens it, the helicopter starts to list over the edge, then the tail breaks off and falls in the water.
"Bucky!" I yell as I see him falling into the river.
The smokes around me disappear while I jump off the roof. Once I'm in the water, I swim to Bucky who's unconscious. Then, when I swim to the surface, holding Bucky by his waist, I notice that Steve is trying to swim back up, but is blocked by a helicopter piece. I use my ice to freeze the piece until it explodes, and Steve can finally swim to the surface alongside me and Bucky.
Once our heads are out of the water, my vision is like blocked by a black veil. And as my head falls back into the water, I feel someone grabbing me. Then, nothing.
