I'm trapped.

And so is Bucky. We both are locked up in some sort of glass cells with chains restraining us. Bucky is seated in his cell, across from me, and he keeps his eyes focused on me. But I can't look at him. I did something bad, I did not listen to Bucky. He said that I cannot hurt people, and I almost killed men. I don't care about death, I just care about Bucky. I don't know if he is angry at me, I hope not.

Bring Ragnarök. What was this voice? Who was it? How could it be in my head? The only thing in my head is the bomb which was installed by HYDRA. They said it was to protect me from bad people. They put it inside my head years after I arrived, Bucky was already there.

Flashback

I am laying on a metallic surface, the men told me what is metal. They said it is something strong, like me. It's also cold, like me. That's why everyone wears gloves around me, they said my skin is too cold for them. The doctors keep on chatting between them, near the machines, and I turn my head to look at Soldier on my right.

I smile with all my teeth and he just stares at me in disinterest. But I don't really care. His long hair looks really soft, and even though he doesn't smile, he seems nice.

"Ne ulybaysya!" Shouts a guard behind my head.

He puts a device on my head and lightings shakes my body. I scream, in pain, but keep my face turned toward Soldier. My eyes are shut and I am not smiling anymore. I do not understand their language, but I know I can't smile. A man told me it is not ok to smile. Why? I don't know.

The lightings continue to shake my body until it stops. I breathe heavily and quickly open my eyes to look at Soldier. He still looks disinterested in me, but his gaze is locked in mine. I smile again and a guard shouts a second time.

"YA skazal, ne ulybaysya!"

He puts the device on my head again, but this time I do not scream nor close my eyes. I stare at Soldier and try to smile through the pain. It is only now that Soldier's facial expression changes. He looks almost surprised, even a bit curious.

"Stop"

But when he hears this voice, he goes back to disinterest.

"Ona gotova?"

I turn my head to my left and see Colonel Karpov. He talks with the doctors for a few seconds and then walks toward me, a smirk on his lips.

"Hello Cold"

"Hello," I reply happily.

"You are ready?" He asks with his unpleasant voice.

I nod and put my gaze back on Soldier. This time, he isn't looking at me, but at Colonel.

"Sdelay eto," says the Colonel with a firm voice.

Doctors surround me, but I can still see Soldier between two of them. One of them covers my body with a white sheet and another one puts something on my head. It's sharp and cold. I smile at Soldier. Shortly after that, the sharp device starts making a weird electric sound, it's almost like it is drilling. Then, I feel it against my head.

I scream in pain, my eyes closed by the suffering when I feel the object drilling my skull. I keep on screaming, my hands closing in fists, and shout at them to stop. It hurts. It's horrible. They're piercing my skull, they're opening my head. Why do they do that? They are going to kill me. This thing is going to kill me.

I open my eyes, with difficulty, and my gaze falls on Soldier. He's staring at me now. I try to close my mouth, but my screaming doesn't wanna stop. The agony starts to paralyse my body, my hands and my legs aren't responding anymore. I cannot sense them, I can't even feel the coldness of the chains around them. When I see Soldier taking a step forward, I succeed to close my mouth. A guard next to him gives him a warning by looking at him and he immediately puts his hands in his back and does not make another step. I move my lips to force them into a smile, destined to Soldier.

"I'm okay," I whisper, my voice is so low that I cannot even hear it myself. But I feel like Soldier heard it. Or maybe he didn't.

In either case, he understood me.

Flashback

When the vehicle stops, the door behind me opens and a light illuminates the inside of the truck. I am the first one to be carried out of the vehicle. As I remain seated on the floor of the cell, my entire body covered in metallic restraints, the cell slides on the ground and it's when I see that we are in some sort of underground. I glance at my right and see Steve looking at me.

It's him. He's the man who landed in the Arctic decades ago. His helmet prevented me from recognising him before, but now I do. He's the man who I saved from the sharks. But how could he be alive?

And I suppose he understood that something is wrong because he frowns while looking at me. Then, his eyes fall to something across from me. I follow his eyes and encounters Bucky's gaze. His lips open and he tries to tell me something. This cell does not prevent me from hearing it.

"We're gonna be okay," he whispers.

I nod and keep my focus on him. But we are quickly separated. As I leave in a corridor different from Bucky, he just keeps his eyes on me until I cannot see him anymore.

"Stay calm Sea, okay?" He whispers.

He cannot hear me. Only I can. I can hear too many voices coming from every room of this big building.

After a few minutes, my cell is brought in a closed room with only a desk across the area which looks more like a bigger prison than something else. A man branches something to my small cell and it enlightens with light above my head. Yellow light, like the sun. Do they think that a light similar to the sun will affect me? Because it does not.

I look around me and the door at the end of the room opens. A man, whose face I cannot see, enters and the doors immediately close behind him. He sits on the chair and put a notebook on the table, keeping his head down.

"I am Doctor Russ. What is your name?"

I stare at him and think that not answering is the best thing to do. Bucky told me to never reveal anything unless he is with me.

"We looked you up, there is nothing about you," adds the Doctor.

I know the world doesn't know me. Everybody knows Bucky, but they don't know me.

Wait. Is Bucky also being interrogated? I close my eyes and focus to find his voice. There is a lot of people in this building.

"My name is Bucky"

It's him! I open my eyes and stare at a blank point to keep focusing on him.

"Tell me, Bucky. You've seen a great deal, haven't you?" Who is this person talking to him? His voice doesn't sound familiar, and neither nice.

"I don't want to talk about it," answers Bucky.

Something is not ok. I can feel it, Bucky is not okay.

"You fear that," starts the man. "If you open your mouth, the horrors might never stop. Don't worry"

This man is not nice. He's talking about HYDRA. He's bringing bad memories back to Bucky.

"We only have to talk about one," adds the man.

Then, there are no lights anymore.

"What the hell is this?" Says Bucky. He is concerned, not fearful, but curious.

"Why don't we discuss your home?" Suggest the man to Bucky. "Not Romania. Certainly not Brooklyn, no. I mean, your real home"

No. No no no. The man wants to talk about HYDRA. I have to free us, I have to get us out of here.

My hands starts emanating ice. It freezes the chains all around my body and the man in front of me is feeling fear. He leaves his stuff on the desk and runs to the door. While he's getting out, the guards point their weapons at me until the door closes again.

When I feel that the chain are about to break, the man speaks a word that is not unfamiliar to me.

"Zhelaniye"

"Bucky!" I shout in fear. I am fearing for his life. It's the code.

The man has the code.
