CATRA'S POV
After walking down one too many wrong hallways in the massive training complex, I finally made it to the conference room where the team sat. I slid in and took a spot leaning against the cool concrete wall.
The team looked just as competent as the other teams I've played for. There wasn't many familiar faces, unless you count Mermista who looked bored. She got hired on at the college part time after she graduated and was signed to the Salinas Sea Serpents after graduating. As far as I know she just helps with the plays and occasionally leads a few warm ups.
She was picking her nails while standing next to man with a long beard. He had a permanent smile plastered on his face and it was annoying to look at. The man clapped his hands excitedly and scanned the room before opening his mouth to speak.
"Hello, I am Micah, and I am the head coach for this team. I'm looking forward to a great season this year. I see some newer faces, so why don't we have a little get to know each other?" He scanned the room looking for any sign of agreement. He cleared his voice when he didn't get any.
"Okay.... So how about you just say your name, grade, age, major, and the last team you played on. Even high school or private travel teams count. Mermista how about you pick first?" He nudged her with his elbow uncomfortably.
She finally looked up and glanced around the room until she spotted me. Her face twisted into a smirk as she raised a manicured finger to point at me. I groaned and stood up a tad straighter as most of the athletes gave me disinterested glances.
"I'm Catra. I'm a 21 year old junior and my last team I played for was the Horde University Blood Hounds. I'm a sports medicine and Illustration double major." I touched back down and awaited for someone else to go.
I just wanna go home and sleep...
This cannot be anymore boring....
This is super short but hopefully a step into a consistent upload schedule. Idk how I used to upload once a day when now it's hard to upload once a month.
