Chapter 49 Attack on Sun Village

Everyone was inside of Benimaru's home as they all sat down. While Benimaru and Ken just glared at Kyoya and his group, Konro decided to break the silence.

"I'm glad you all came considering how suddenly we asked for help. I'm Konro Sagamiya, the two people glaring at you like mad dogs are Ken Joshima and Benimaru Shinmon. I hope we can work together ."

"Thanks, Konro. I'm Kyoya Fullbuster of the Black Bulls. Representing the Golden Dawn is Mimosa Vermillion, Klaus Lunette, and Yuno."

As the members of the Golden Dawn nod their heads, Benimaru scoffed at them. Soon he stood up as he was prepared to leave the building. While he walks away, he spoke up to Konro and Ken.

"I'm getting out of here. I'm going to check and make sure that everyone in Sun Village has evacuated to the neighboring village. I'm also going to be scouting to see if anyone besides us is here. Konro, you fill them in."

Before Konro could have time to argue with him, Benimaru quickly exits the building. Seeing this, Ken also follows him as he stuck his tongue out at the magic knights before leaving. Konro just sighed as he looked at the magic knights.

"I'm sorry about them. They aren't exactly the biggest fans of magic knights or nobles."

"That's fine. I can understand why they have their guard up around us considering how most nobles are. For now, please try to explain the situation to us Konro."

Konro couldn't agree more with Klaus. As he looked at the group of mages, his eyes fell upon Kyoya. Ken already told him a great deal about the mage so he got the gist of what type of person he was. Soon he explained the situation they're in.

"It happened a few days ago. While Beni and Ken were out to get some food, there was an intense concentration of mana in the air. Everyone felt extremely cold. When they stepped out the village, they noticed that everything was completely covered in ice. Beni tried to melt the ice, but it had no effect on it. While Beni was trying to melt the flames, Ken and I found the spot where the strong mana was first detected. Right at the edge of the village, there was no ice at all where the strange place is located. "

"What about the people?"

"No need to worry Kyoya. Beni already mentioned that he moved the people to a neighboring village known as Rayaka after he learned of the situation. He felt they would be in danger or be in the way if someone were to attack us while the village is at its weakest right now."

Kyoya nods his head as he was happy that the people were okay. But one thing was on his mine. He could tell that this ice wasn't normal. It gave off an ominous feeling, yet it felt familiar to him. Soon Kyoya stood up as he had to do something about this.

"Klaus, Mimosa, Yuno. You three should help Benimaru and Ken to see if there are any villagers left here. I'll see about what I can do about the ice by having Konro lead me to where he found this strange construct he mentioned."

As the three Golden Dawn members nod their heads, they walk out the building as they search for Ken and Benimaru. Soon Kyoya looked at Konro with a serious look on his face.

"Sorry, but you're gonna have to come with me to where this construct is."

"Of course. Once again, thank you for helping. Besides, if you can manage to unfreeze the village maybe it can help Benimaru see that all magic knights aren't bad."

"Where am I?"

As Wendy walked around, all she saw were buildings covered in ice. When she kept walking, she felt an enormous amount of pain in her chest as she fell on the ground. Her body felt so weak that it was unbearable.
