ch 9 University Easterbrook Colorado

After a long, long ride they finally arrived at the University Easterbrook Colorado.

Ellie: Okay, let me see if I get it straight. If you mess up your fourth down, then you give the ball to the other team?

Joel: Right, it's called turnover

Ellie: and if you clear ten yards then you're back at.... first down?

Joel: First down, that's right

(Y/N): So they just had to get the ball from one side to the other?

Joel: Yup

(Y/N): That doesn't really sound interesting or entertaining

Joel: You have to see it then you'll understand it

They ride into the university but they don't see the building they are looking for. Joel recommends they ride to the center so they can get a better view

Ellie: So these places... people would live here and just study? Even though they were all grown up?

Joel: Yeah, study, party, and find themselves. Figure out what they wanted to do with their lives

(Y/N): Did you go to University?

Joel: Nah, I already had my life planned out... then this happened

(Y/N): I guess a lot of people had their lives planned out before all this happened

Joel: Yeah, probably

They cut through a building since there was no other way to the center and luckily there was a hole in the wall so the horses could pass too. Shortly after, they heard clickers so Joel went to go take care of them and ordered (Y/N) and Ellie to stay with the horses

As Joel took care of the problem up ahead Ellie and (Y/N) were sitting there, just chatting

(Y/N): If you could have a job, what would you have wanted to be?

Ellie: What do you mean?

(Y/N): Like before it all went to shit I would've been like my parents, treasure hunters, what about you?

Ellie: Hmm, that's a tough one. I guess I'd be an astronaut

(Y/N): Really?

Ellie: Yeah dude I'd be so cool! Just going out of earth and floating, that sounds badass

(Y/N): Can't argue with that

Joel came back and opened the gate then hopped back up on his horse. He told them to follow him and they did

Ellie: Hey Joel. What would you be if the app didn't happen

Joel: Me? Uhm I guess when I was a kid I used to want to be a singer

(Y/N): *chuckling* Really?

Joel: Really

Ellie: Well sing us something

Joel: Ah no

Ellie: Come on, we promise we won't laugh

(Y/N): I didn't promise that

Ellie kept pestering him but sadly Joel didn't want to sing for them. After following the path they make it to the center of the University. Then Ellie noticed some monkeys. They ran as soon as they started approach them though

Shortly after they find the giant mirror like building. Although there was no one around no guard, no scientists, no one. It seemed rather odd and they grew cautious as they approached the blockade
