The Monster In My Heart

In the deep dark space of my heart,

There live a monster tied in chain,

Nothing can be done to break him apart,

Causing pain is his life's goals main.

Once or twice the chain will break,

Granting the monster a gateless path,

To where lies the heart at stake,

In fear of the monster's undying wrath.

Flames of fury ignites within me,

Daring the lock-up anger to emerge,

As the monster roams freely,

Leaving me with pain to surge.
