I was asked if I could continue this story, and maybe write something similar to the drowning...

Since the original 2nd Part (now Part 4) takes place when Mer feels better again, I decided to write a bit more about what happens and how she feels in between those chapters... Part 2 and 3 contain mature content like suicidal thoughts... If you don't want to read those, you can also jump to Part 4, the part fits both storylines, and takes place a few weeks later, when Meredith feels better...

------ MATURE CONTENT WARNING FOR SUICIDAL THOUGHTS ------

Day 2

The next day Andrew was waking up to Meredith's empty bedside. He was confused for a second. Remembering the last twenty-four hours, he didn't think that Meredith had gone to work today; after she hadn't left the bedroom almost the whole day.

A moment later he noticed the water running in the bathroom next door; a short wave of relief washed over him, knowing where she was.

He slowly stood up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, putting on some longer trousers and a shirt to not freeze. The kids were still with Amelia on a 'special sleepover', so no one was at the house except for him and Meredith.

He knocked at the door to the bathroom, wanting to ask if she wanted a coffee as well, but he didn't get an answer. He felt how he grew concerned again, still having the image of Meredith in his mind, the sadness in her eyes, how she just cried quietly while he was holding her for hours the day before... but he also knew that sometimes while taking a shower you didn't hear the people outside, because the running water was just too loud; he tried to take this to reason her silence and decided to just make her a coffee as well.

Almost fifteen minutes later he came upstairs again, two coffees in his hands. He put the one for Meredith on her nightstand. The water had stopped some time ago, and it was silent on the other side of the door. He decided to wait for her to get ready, and then they could take their coffee together and he could see if she was indeed doing better today. The fact that she stood up this morning at least made him hope that this was the case.

But when she didn't come out for another fifteen minutes and he didn't hear any noise from the other side of the bathroom he got worried. He stood up to walk over to the door, knocking on it again, but he didn't get a response.

"Meredith, are you okay in there?" he asked worried, but everything stayed silent, and something forming inside him was telling him that something was wrong.

"Mer, talk to me, please!" He almost pleaded, a bit louder than before, worried to not know if she was okay. He tried to open the door, but it was still locked from the inside.

When she didn't answer him again, even though the house was completely silent, and she must've heard him, his worry took over.

"I'm coming in now, okay?" He tried to hear from her in a last attempt, before he forcibly broke open the door.

Andrew immediately went inside, when he saw Meredith there on the floor. Sitting. Leaning against the bathtub, her knees pulled up, her arms around them. She only had a towel around her body, her hair was still wet. She didn't seem to acknowledge his presence, she was just starring at the wall in front of her, and for a short moment he wasn't even sure if she noticed him coming inside.
