half an hour later, I decided to hop off.

"Bye guys." I spoke one last goodbye before disconnecting from the discord server and shutting down my pc.

I had to admit, it went better than expected, I don't know why I didn't do this sooner, it was really fun.

except for corpse, he was rude and cost me a win.

Well, cost US a win, at least he brought himself down with me.
I'm not sure why though, we could have easily won together, I guess he just didn't like me.

Not that I cared but anyways speaking of corpse, my best friend Julie was gonna freak out that I had talked to him when she was constantly obsessing over him.

It was only 9pm by the time I had finished my shower. might as well call Julie.

She picked up after about a second.
"Heyy" she greeted me excitedly.
"Hey!" I greeted back.
"So guess what I did tonight?"
"What?"
"I played among us with dream and a bunch of other youtubers on twitch."

"And you ll never guess who was among those youtubers," I spoke excitedly, I just knew she would freak out about this.
"Who?"
"CORPSE!" I practically yelled.
But I didn't get the reaction I was expecting.
Instead the line went silent and she didn't respond for a solid 30 seconds.

"hello? are you there?"
"Oh yeh," Julie responded warily. "that's cool."
"That's cool? Is that all?"
"Yeh, I mean good for you."

This wasn't normal, the Julie I knew would never react like this to this kind of news.

"Julie are you okay?"
"Yeah of course, why wouldn't I be." Julie replied but she sounded off. She was lying to me.

"Why aren't you excited about corpse? I thought you loved him." I asked.
"Oh yeah, I just don't really want to talk about him right now." I knew her better than this, did corpse do something to her? I thought she didn't know him in real life and just watched his content but she does have a lot of streamer contacts so I wouldn't be surprised if they did meet. I mean that's how her and gogy met and now they're dating.

"Did something happen between you and George? He didn't sound good today when he was online." I asked.

"No it's fine, we re fine. Uhm anyways I need to go, I ll talk to you later y/n." She spoke quickly.
"Bye-" But the line went dead before I could finish my sentence.

In our 19 years of friendship where we've literally been best friends since birth, she has never had to keep a secret like this. And I could tell what she was hiding was tormenting her, I had to find out so I could help her.

Then my phone buzzed once again.
