Clementine
A few weeks passed since the cliff incident. I got the job at the BAU officially. I was making great friends there. I even met Mr.David Rossi. Today was my off day and I was just having a lazy day.
"Clementine. Can you help me with the luggage in the car?" Timothy and Tessa were back from visiting the Cortez and seeing mom and dad.
Timothy's blonde hair was kept under a blue beanie same with Tessa but hers was red. I hug Timothy and Tessa and help with the luggage.
"How was Dad?" I ask when they are settled.
"He wants you to come home soon or at least visit. Jesus Clems how long has it been almost a year." Timothy sits down on the couch.
"Dad is outdated. Hey, so when are you-" The doorbell rings.
I turn out of the minimalist living room and to the door. I open the door to see Spencer. He was wearing a brown sweater vest with a black coat. "Oh hi. I wasn't expecting you, Spencer." I jump back.
"Oh yeah sorry, I didn't call in advance. Kinda wanted to make it a surprise. But so I was going to go to the country fair/carnival thing with JJ. But Henry got sick. So I asked Emily and she has that stomach bug going around. Hotch is out on a fishing trip. Garcia and Derek are doing something and it was a no on Rossi so I wanted to ask you." Spencer blushes and smiles.
"Oh. Yeah, I'll go. Just let me get ready." I look down at my purple t-shirt and gray sweats. Not a real appropriate look for a fair.
"Also there's a drive-in movie theater that's playing twilight. So Yeah."
I let Spencer into the house. "Spencer that's Timothy my brother and his wife Tessa is upstairs taking a nap. But you two can talk." Spencer sits down at the couch with Timothy. I quickly run-up to my room.
I go to my little bathroom in my room. I quickly take a shower. Blow-dry and straighten my hair. Put on some makeup and find an outfit. I got a blue plaid skirt and a black long sleeve shirt that was tucked into my skirt. I put on some black boots. I run down the stairs.
I see Spencer on the couch talking to Timothy about Dr.Who. I guess. Timothy points to me for Spencer's Attention. Spencer turns around and looks at me. He stands up. "Hi." Spencer looks so love-struck it makes my heart thump.
"Hi."
"Let's get going." Spencer grins. I go to the door. I hold it open for him and he grabs his keys to removal a Volvo amazon that had to be from the sixties. I get into the car and buckle up. He gets in and buckles up and starts the car.
"How did you get my address?" I ask.
"Oh well I asked Hotch and he told me." Spencer drives down the giant hill and on to the main road.
"Also a few nights ago I read the whole twilight series," Spencer admits. I turn to him and laugh.
"Favorite book?"
"They all are okay. My ranking would go Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, Twilight, and then New Moon. I am totally on Team Edward by the way." I grin at Spencer.
"Well, you do have taste. So you can read fast."
"20,000 words per minute."
"I can read but with books, I lose interest fast. But if I had to say my favorite book it would be Twilight." I loved twilight because I related to Edward. I was Edward. He was Bella.
"Mine would be the narrative of john smith."
"Never heard of it. Sorry I mainly spaced out in Literature class." I laugh.
"Then how did you get an A+?"
"You looked at my record. Where did you get that."
"Garcia. She did her research on you." Spencer smiles.
"Why?"
"She just did."
We drive for a little longer. We come to a big field of cars and behind it were tents and rides. Big ones.
He parks his car at the edge of the field. We see a tractor-drawn carriage with people in it. I wrinkle my nose at the stench of gasoline. Spencer helps me onto the carriage.
I see old people and children there. It was about ten minutes until we got to the wooden hut for tickets.
The line moved fast. I pulled out 20 bucks for the parking fair. "No. You will not be paying for anything at all." Spencer gets his wallet and pulls out a 20. I glare at him.
"How about this I pay for the car parking and you can pay for the stuff inside." I propose a compromise.
"Deal."
We get up to the hut and see a woman smoking and organizing money. "Ahh yes, lovers. I see people like you guys at least twice during my shift." The lady cackles.
Spencer puts the money in the slot of the shed. She winks at us and hands us neon green armbands. I help spencer put on his and he helps me. We enter the fair. We see old wooden shacks with 1800s role players.
Spencer leads me into one of the shacks. It was an old house and it was what the usual family looked like back then. I look at the beautiful paintings and pottery laying out. Spencer looks around at the paintings as well.
We walk out of that small shack. That's when I hear a waltz beat. Spencer grins and grabs my hand. I giggle. We walk around the historical area. Until we reached the end. The fair was now shopping areas, games, and rides. "Hey, you want to go on that ride." I point to a ride that looked to be a claw with seats at the end.
"Sure I guess." We get into the medium-sized line. They let us all in and stop at the kids behind us. We get lead to an electric blue seat.
We grab the faulty old buckles and clip them together. That's when the guy pulls the bar across us. I notice that I'm still holding spencer's hand. I let go and grab the bar and smile.
"OKAY EVERYONE READY 3...2...1..." A guy on the speaker shouts.
We get slingshots to the right and the ride spins as we get slingshot left and right. I squeal with joy. That day we went on all of the rides including the Ferris wheel and the zipper.
It was a fun day it was the end of the day. "We should get getting if we want to see Twilight." Spencer looks at his watch. I was tired of the fair. The lines were unbelievably long and food was sold out.
I nod and we walk to the car. I get in and buckle. "We should get there fast since it's a popular movie," I say spaced out looking at the dashboard.
"Clementine!" "Clementine!" Spencer shakes me a little bit. I blink out of the trance.
"We're here." We were in the middle of the drive-in.
The movie started and I tried to remain awake at least until the port Angeles part. But that remained impossible because I fell asleep at the part where Bella almost gets hit by a truck. I woke up the next morning in my room. I saw a note on my blue nightstand.
