"You must be miss Cole. Please, take a seat." Quinn rarely got nervous, just like she wasn't nervous right then. But the knowledge that the man in front of her could easilly ruin her life if he wanted to, was still looming in the back of her mind. She sat down in the old leather chair in front of Mr Nazari's desk, which was still warm from the man who had just left. Quinn didn't know too much about her new clients, and was unsure of how to behave in Mr Nazari's precsense.

"So. I know you're new here so I wanted to welcome you personally, however you most likely won't be seeing me around much." His voice was startingly deep, and he spoke with an accent. He was sitting leaned back, relaxed, fully aware that Quinn was the only one who had reason to be anxious. "It's nice to meet you, sir." She spoke clearly and confidently, something she had learned to do in just about any situation over the years.

"And I'm glad to have you here. As you may have heard, I recently made a tough desicion that was nescessary in order for my company to keep expanding." Quinn knew exactly what he was talking about, since she liked to keep up to date with things like the global market and relationships between countries. Anything she felt would help her understand her crazy rich clients, she would eat right up.

"In the process, I unsurprisingly made new enemies. Some, in powerful places. I already do my best to make sure my daughter doesn't become the target of said enemies, but you can never be sure." This man was literally on top of the world, yet he still had worries and struggles. Quinn always found that to be humbling. "I will take good care of your daughter, sir." Mr Nazari put his hand over his face and sighed. "My daughter... that girl seems to be a magnet for trouble. If God himself told her to behave, she still wouldn't listen. Just like a child."

He sighed again. "I'm sure you're doing an amazing job." Quinn tried to be comforting, even though he had probably heard that a thousand times before. "I think you should know, miss Cole, that the reason you're here is that Nia was... engaged in inappropriate behaviour with her former bodyguard. That's why I specifically requested a female for this position. Of course, I expect you to keep the same standards as a man."

Quinn just nodded. The casual sexism wasn't new, so it didn't bother her too much. Especially since she was aware that she was a better bodyguard than every man she knew. "So, enough said about that. I think it's time you meet Nia. I need to be somewhere in twenty minutes, but Mr Holdings will take you to see her." He stood up and so did Quinn. She shook his reached out hand with a firm grip, and then he left the office in a hurry.

Quinn followed who she presumed to be a butler through long corridors, each one the same as the last. Finally they entered a sizeable lounge with a high ceiling, and a corridor connected on either side. Quinn was told to wait so she stood against a wall, preparing to be met with the face of just another rich kid. After a long time and many of the butler's knocks on a door in the hallway, out came her new client. Only she wasn't a kid, she was a woman.

Quinn was rendered speachless as she stood in the prescence of the most gorgeous woman she had ever seen. She was mesmerized by her long, shiny, beautifully curly hair, sharp, deep brown eyes and plump, pink lips. This girl was just amazingly stunning. She was average height and slender, and dressed in a light blue tanktop with a yellow, floral skirt. She had on high heeled sandals that showed off her long legs, and her entire frame was that of a goddess. Her aura said nothing but "stay the fuck away", but Quinn didn't care.

"I suppose you're my new babysitter. Just so you know, I don't need one." Quinn slowly rolled her eyes. She just didn't have the patience. "Oh I'm sure as hell not going to be your babysitter. I'm just here to make sure you don't get yourself killed." The woman in front of her raised her eyebrows, but apparently didn't manage to find anything clever to say in response. "I'm Nia." Quinn was content at her successful atempt to temporarily shut down the typical rich kid bullshit. "Quinn Cole, nice to meet you."

Nia got a smug look on her perfect face. "Sure. So, why exactly do I need you in order to not "get myself kiled"?" Quinn felt a bit defeated. "You should ask your dad that." She crossed her arms and leaned back towards the wall. This was going to be a long couple of months. "No, I mean, why do I need you?" Quinn just starred at Nia. How can someone who looks this perfect be this annoying?

"I believe I'm here because you fucked your last bodyguard." Quinn said it completely emotionless, which definitely pissed Nia off. "Fuck off!" She stormed away and back into her room, and Quinn turned towards the obviously uncomfortable butler. "Where can I find the rest of the team?" He smiled and made a gesture for Quinn to follow him. The more of the mansion she saw, the more convinced she became that it was designed like a maze. A very nicely decorated maze, but a maze none the less.

Two hours later

Quinn was as happy as she could be for now. The mansion was safe before, but now it was becoming safe to her standards. She had met the rest of Nia's security staff which basically consisted of two seasoned veterans on the brink of retiring and a hotshot straight from the police academy who also happened to be an asshole. Quinn was, unsurprisingly, not too thrilled with her new job. Now it was up to wether the brat Nia got her fired soon enough... or if she turned out to be worth the while.

Quinn was used to working with her own people, people she trusted with her life. But when it came to her client's lives, she trusted no one but herself. She was standing in the entry hall, trying to get Brian the hotshot to quit bugging her, when she heard her name called out. "Hey! We're going out!" Nia was yelling ar her from the top of the stairs, and Quinn was less than happy. "New rules, kid. You want to go out? Give me a heads up no less than an hour before."

She started walking up the stairs as she talked. Quinn had no problem yelling, but she couldn't stand being yelled at. "What the fuck?! You're not my mother!" She rolled her eyes at Nia's words. It was like they were taken straight from a movie. "Well thank god for that, am I right?" Nia let out a short, frustrated scream before she stormed off. Quinn turned back around to face Brian who seemed to be in a shock. She gave him a look as if to say "it is what it is" and walked away.
