"No. No, no, no! This isn't happening, this CAN'T be happening!" Sarah screamed in her mind, unable to move her gaze from those perfect blue eyes. "I can't be a pet, I can't!" But she knew she was, just like she knew the woman in front of her was her keeper.

"This is a suprise." The woman...no her keeper said softly, reaching out her hand to gently cup Sarah's cheek. Her voice sent shivers down Sarah's spine, it made her want to just lay down and submit to this woman.

"No...don't touch me. I need her to touch me. No! Yes! No! YES!" Bile rose in her throat as she fought her new instincts to submit, to just...give in. Until, with a herculean amount of mental effort her hand slapped away her keeper's as she shouted. "NO!" She forced her eyes closed and covered her ears, if she couldn't see those eyes, if she couldn't hear that voice, then her keeper, NO, this woman couldn't make her submit. Her head pounded as she fought the bond, she didn't want this, she couldn't handle this!

The woman seemed suprised as she stared at the hand Sarah had slapped as her own new instincts roared at her to put her pet in her place. Her eyes narrowed as Sarah closed her eyes and covered her ears. Was she...was she trying to fight the bond?

"Carol, is everything okay?" A young man wearing the pet store uniform asked as he peaked his head out. It was the same uniform Carol was wearing, really it was just a red apron with the store's logo over her green T-shirt.

"Everything's fine Michael." She said, keeping her eye on her pet, just in case the girl decided to run. "The two of us just bonded."

"That's great! Ren would love to have a playmate, and for the last time, call me Mike." Michael said excitedly before pausing, furrowing his brow in confusion. "Wait...why is she...is she trying to fight the bond?!" He asked incredulously.

"I'm not sure, but I think so." Carol said gently. She didn't understand why anyone would want to fight this feeling. God, her pet was perfect, unlike anyone she'd ever seen. She already loved her, even though she barely knew anything about the girl. All she knew was that this girl was her pet, her bonded partner, and she was all HERS.

"Well, you're done for the day, I'm not gonna make you work with a newly bonded pet, that's just asking for trouble." Michael said simply.

"Are you sure?" Carol asked, not taking her eyes from her pet.

"I'm sure, take care of your girl." Michael said, walking back into the store with a smirk.

"Come on pretty girl." Carol cooed, softly rubbing her pet's cheek. "Let me see those beautiful eyes of yours."

Even with her ears covered and the sounds around her being muffled, she still could hear...that women's voice. Every inch of her body was screaming at her to listen to the woman, to open her eyes. "N-no...please don't make me." She whimpered, her voice trembling. "Please don't do this to me, I can't, I can't!"

"Shhh, it's okay babygirl, just let it happen. It will be so much easier if you just let it." Carol cooed. "Just open your eyes for me."

"N-no, please don't...don't make me a pet, please." Sarah begged.

"Baby I'm not making you anything. You are a pet, my pet. My beautiful pet, who needs her keeper. I'll love and care for you. The world is a dangerous place for pets, it's so easy for them to get hurt. And I just want to protect you, you are mine after all."

Sarah shuddered as her mind got fuzzy the more her keeper spoke until, with the last word spoken, her eyes glazed over. Slowly, her hands fell to her side as her eyes opened.

"That's my good girl." Carol cooed, stroking Sarah's cheek softly. "Come on, let's get you home." Gently, she lifted her pet in her arms, carrying her to her car. "I'm sorry, I don't have a carrier for you yet pretty girl, but we'll take care of that tomorrow. I have all the basics at home and that'll be enough for tonight."

When they reached her car, Carol wiggled around until she found a position she could carry her dazed pet and reach in her pockets for her keys. With the push of a button, the trunk of her car opened, already fitted with a plastic sheet, just in case. "Here we go babygirl, it's just for today, we'll get you a pretty carrier tomorrow, okay?" Gently, Carol set her pet in the trunk, brushing her hair out of her face. With a soft smile, she closed the trunk to her car before opening the back door. For a moment she fiddled with the back seat until the seat collapsed and folded down. "There, now I can keep my eye on you."

________

Sarah groaned as she came to, the rustle of the plastic sheet and the purr of an engine sounding like explosions to her pounding head. "What....where am I?" She tried to sit up, only to bang her head on something hard above her, a loud whimper leaving her lips.

"No pretty girl, you need to stay in the trunk, we don't want you to stain the car, okay? Be my good girl and stay there." The voice of a woman said gently, once more sending shivers down her spine.

"What...trunk? Why am I in a trunk?! What's going on?!!" Sarah screamed, her breath coming out in sharp gasps as her heart raced, panic surging through her body like lightning.

"Shhh, pretty girl, you need to be quiet for now. We bonded back at the store, remember my pretty pet? You need to be back there for now so you don't stain anything, the trunk is the only place with a plastic sheet. Be my good girl and stay there, okay pet? Just for a little longer, we're almost home, just be good my pretty girl." The woman cooed softly, filling Sarah with the urge to obey, to just be good.

"O-oh...okay." Sarah murmured, dazed from the power of the woman's voice.

"That's my pretty girl, just stay there and be good for your keeper. We'll talk more once we're home." Her keeper cooed.

______

It wasn't long, about five or ten minutes later when Sarah felt the car turn and heard the crunch of tires against gravel.

"Okay pet, we're home." Her keeper said gently, turning off the engine. She opened her door and stepped onto the gravel. For a moment, the sound of her keeper's steps seemed to be getting further away, before they started growing closer again. Every step her keeper took made Sarah's blood turn to ice as bile rose in her throat. She was a pet? An actual pet? After everything she went through five years ago? Why....why was she being put through this again? Why couldn't she live a normal life as an unbound? Why did she have to meet her keeper?!

Sobs tore from her throat as tears streaked down her face. She curled up in a tight ball as the trunk was opened and light blinded her for a moment. After her eyes got used to the light, she looked at her keeper, really looked at her for the first time. She was tall, Sarah wasn't sure how tall exactly, but she was definitely shorter than her keeper. Her long brown hair framed her face perfectly and seemed to make her blue eyes shine and sparkle in the light.

"Oh...my pretty pet." Her keeper cooed, gently wiping away Sara's tears with her thumb."It'll all be okay, you'll see."

"N-no it won't." Sarah sobbed. "I'm a pet, people won't see me as a human anymore. You'll put me in a cage like...like he did." Her last words were whispered, almost silent, but Carol heard them anyway.

"What did you just say?" Carol growled darkly, her instincts roaring at her once more, these ones protective. They screamed at her to track down whoever had dared to cage HER pet. "Someone caged you?"

Sarah whimpered at Carol's growl, curling up into a tighter ball. "I'm sorry, please don't be mad at me, I'm sorry." The words tore themselves from her lips as she started to shake, a warm, wet feeling spreading from her crotch and down her thighs.

Carol's eyes widened at her pet's reaction to her growl. "Oh no, no pretty pet, I'm not mad at you. It's okay, you're safe here, I'll protect you. It's okay." She whispered softly, lifting her pet into her arms and rocking her gently. She didn't care that her clothes were getting wet, all she cared about was keeping her pet safe and happy.
