[ 9:56 P.M. ]

"Hey Keiji?"

The strawberry blond turned to her newest friend, if she dare say, and suddenly changed the light aura on the rooftop to a serious and discouraged one.

"Yeah?"

They dark haired boy turned his head to fully face Himari, giving her his full attention.

"What would your ideal life be like..?"

He felt his navy eyes widen in surprise, and searched for words he couldn't find. He had thought about this so much, but once he was asked, he pondered. Was he really satisfied even if he did have the life he wanted? After much contemplation, he finally responded.

"I'm not sure. What about you Himari?"

The girl with glassy blue eyes inhaled deeply, and sighed, she looked much to exhausted for a teenager whos supposed to be carefree.

"I don't know either, I think everything happens for a reason, so this must too... Right?"

She mumbled, the last part of her sentence came out feeble and it was obvious she was trying to convince herself along with Keiji. More time passed, with them both evaluating their situations and 'what if's before the pretty boy opened his mouth.

"I think it would be nice to have friends, and a loving family. Do stupid stuff all the time and laugh it off, spend all-nighters doing more stupid stuff and care about it later. Have someone to care about..."

The dark haired boy spoke with his head tilted to the stars, as if speaking to the sky. The pale girl admired him: unruly and dark hair, gunmetal eyes that reflected the stars, a sharp jawline and a melancholy expression, speaking in a longing daze. She turned back too look at the sparkling city in between the gaps of the railing and a plethora of emotions and a nostalgic feeling filled her to the brim.

Moments passed, a comfortable silence between the misfits.

"I think that would be nice."
