𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗 [ 𝙖.𝙠𝙚𝙞𝙟𝙞 ]

ɴɪɴᴇ

[ 4:21 A.M ]

Comfortable silence was spread across the melancholy rooftop. Both the blue eyed girl and the dark haired boy were tired. Their mind and eyes yearning for sleep, but they didn't want any time spent with the other to go by unconscious. If the other were going to stay awake, then so were they.

Faint city sounds lingered in the air, the sky just starting to turn purple. Himari held onto Keiji's hand a little tighter and the pretty boy's heart was tugged. 

Their eyesight was starting to get fuzzy, a slight pounding in their heads. They snuggled into each other, trying to keep warmth in their drowsy state. Sleep seemed so compelling, and the only thing keeping them awake was the in synch blasting of their hearts, beating so fast it ached.

In a last attempt effort to keep them awake, the boy with navy blue eyes inhaled deeply and started humming.

The blonde girl, surprised lifted her head slightly to gaze at him. He looked down at her and smiled widely and fondly, before watching the sky slowly change colors.

Keiji hummed no specific tune, just whatever came to mind.

It became Himari's new favorite thing.

His soothing and deep voice breaking the silence, slow and calm.

It could have brought the blue eyed girl to tears if she let it, but instead she sat in silence with him watching the clouds and stars pass by.

The moon was pretty too, everything was pretty right now.

It made her happy.

Keiji was pretty too, he was the prettiest out of everything right now. He was beautiful.

He let his head rest on the pale girl's, hers on his shoulder. The vibrations from his humming gently reaching her, making her smile.

The boy thought his chest felt funny, it was similar to how it was an hour or 3 ago. It swelled and he felt so sad, but at the same time happy, longing, and everything in between. 

He continued to hum until his throat felt scratchy and dry, but even then he still sang his little lullaby.

Even if his throat started to close up and feel tense, it was alright. He was alright.
