( Emeralds POV)
By the time we reach Section 12, we are tired and hot. We are moving towards the Southlands, so its no surprise that I am sweating like crazy.
We walk on the dust-driven streets, looking for any signs of life. As we reach the end of Section 12, Jayde speaks.
"Explain what happened when they took mom. With every single detail."
"Well I woke up, and mom was sitting at the table, with her head down, like she always is. I asked if she had made any breakfast and she said she had forgotten about it. I told her I was going to look for you. As I left, I heard her mumbling something over and over 'Ez vissus tou riana' Thinking it was nothing, I ran out to look for you. Ten minutes later I came back and ran upstairs so I could read. You know the rest of the story."
"Did you see which way they went?" Jayde asks.
"I saw them driving towards Section 10."
I begin to run, but Jayde stops me.
"We need to get a good nights sleep. One of these abandoned houses should do the trick."
We pick a house and quickly fall asleep...
