The next day, after eating breakfast in the dining room, Laura went back to her room to gripe and think about her dilemma. She's starting to hate herself because until now she still can't decide on what to do.

It's obvious that for the safety of her loved ones she needs to marry the vampire son.

All of her problems will be solved.

But why she was still hesitating to decide so that everyone can ease their worries away?

The truth is, she was afraid to live with the vampires. She was afraid that they will suck her blood dry. She fears that they're going to eat her flesh and drink her blood. She had nightmares thinking about those dreadful things that she's going to encounter when she's already living among the vampires.

It scared her to the bones. It terrifies her.

What's she going to do now? She still has 8 days left to decide. She must decide fast!

"Oh, God! Please help me!" she begged the Heavenly Father in heaven for deliverance from her dilemma.

She picked up Cooper's photo from the bedside table and stared at his face. At least with Cooper, she had already seen his face. But when it comes to that couple's vampire son, she never saw his face. It would be scary to marry someone, not of your kind and worst he is a vampire and she had no idea what he looks like in person.

Those thoughts were killing her inside.

Should she just accept her fate and prepare herself to plunge into darkness?

What she's going to do?

Sighing, she exited her room and went to the basement where his father and the servants were currently constructing a trunk that would hide her so that she can escape to the SouthPond Town undetected.

She went down the basement just in time when the men were having a break. She went to her father's side. The chest-like box was already finished and the only thing lacking is the lid. It's not a coffin, more like a trunk where travelers used to put their clothes and goods.

She sat on the chair facing her father. "I want to inquire about the vampires' castle. How does the castle look like, Father?" she asked.

Simon looked heavenward trying to recall what the castle looks like twenty years ago. "Hmm...the only thing I can remember is that it was a big place twenty years ago. But during that time the castle was already showing signs of decay. I was surprised to see a castle hidden so well behind a mountain. It was surrounded by towering trees. No one would think that there was a castle in there..."

"Anything else? What else you see inside the castle?" she inquired.

"Grandma and I were taken to the living room where hundreds of candles lighted the whole place. There was a grand staircase leading to the second floor but I haven't had the chance to explore the whole area because we're told to stay in the living room."

"How about the outside of the castle?"

"There was a huge lawn with garden and high iron rusted gate. That's all I can remember. I didn't think much about the whole place because I'm not there for sightseeing. So...I wasn't really paying attention to everything around me," Simon replied.

"Okay...how about the couple's son? Have you seen his face?" she asked.

Simon sighed. "I'm sorry, daughter. During the whole time that we're there, the couple didn't introduce to me their son. I guessed the son was already born at that time or maybe he was ten years older than you. I really dunno..." he said, shaking his head.
