Cassandra
I tried to ignore what happened last night as I shuffled in my bed. After I had pulled away from the unexpected kiss, we went home. For a second I thought it meant something to him, the kiss. But his cold expression had returned once I pulled away. He left on his broom and made me walk home by myself. I told myself I didn't care, but the disappointing feeling was eating me alive.
Once I got home, my parents lectured me, I barely listened. When I entered my room, it seemed as though I hadn't trashed it just a couple hours before. The fancy chandelier floated in the center of my room and the shiny, glass decorations stood tall. I assumed my parents had replacements for everything. My book shelf looked perfect and the black, silk sheets lay neatly on my neat bed.
As if nothing happened.
That's my parents way, it always has been. We are a normal family. Nothing bad happens, and if it does. We go back to the way it was, as if nothing happened.

I hopped in the shower once I finally decided to get out of my bed. I felt the burning-hot water relax my tense muscles, I told myself that maybe if I tried hard enough, I could forget everything too, just as he appeared to.

"Good Afternoon, Cassandra," my mother greeted me once I had entered the kitchen. I ignored her of course.
"Good afternoon, Cassandra," my mother repeated, in a louder, stern voice. I ignored her once again, making my way to the living room.
"What are you doing here?" I asked in annoyance. Draco was sprawled on one of the many large, leather couches in my living room. He ignored me, making me roll my eyes. I made my way back to my room, regretting have left it.***
Draco
I stood in the one place I considered home more than my actual home like a stranger. I didn't get any sleep. I laid awake on one of the guest bedrooms, reciting all the events from that day. To the bickering in Cassandras bedroom, to the eavesdropping, to the dinner, to finding out Lou and Henry are Death Eaters, to arguing with Cassandra, to crying in the bathroom and outside, to looking everywhere for Cassandra, to arguing with Cassandra again, and to kissing her.
The kiss had lingered on my mind for hours. I was debating if it meant everything to me, or nothing at all. I wanted to know what it meant to her. But I just left, I couldn't handle the thought of her telling me off, so I left, because I was scared. I regretted leaving her there, and I regretted acting as if the kiss never happened.
"Where was she last night?" my mum asked, snapping me away from my thoughts. I hadn't even noticed her.
"The abandoned shed we used to go to, when we were little," I trailed off.
"I remember that," she chuckled lightly.
"Did anything happen? Did you two talk-"
"Why? Did she say anything to you? What did she tell you?" I panicked.
"She didn't say anything to me, will you tell me what happened?" she asked patiently.I found myself soften over my mum's warm gaze. I wanted to tell her everything, mostly because I just needed advise.
"I kissed her," I blurted.
She nodded, not in the least bit surprised.
"Well, aren't you shocked?" I questioned with furrowed brows.
"No, you two are so obvious," she stated blankly making me scoff. I guess she noticed my unsettlement because she rose a brow at me.
"Oh? Was this the first time you've kissed? Ever?" she questioned, with an intrigued look. The thought of me gossiping about Cassandra with my mum flashed through my head which caused me to laugh.
"What? Tell me Draco!" she begged making me laugh harder.
"No, mum, it wasn't. The first time we were eight, this was the second," I explained, hoping she would catch on.
"Well that's just lovely, I always knew you two were perfect for each other." She gleamed making me mentally gag.
"This isn't a good thing, don't you understand? We were arguing, I kissed her out of nowhere. It was completely random, we haven't even talked since-"
"Well did she kiss you back?"
"Yes, but-"
"Then why are you here? Go talk to her."
I rolled my eyes, this was useless.
"I'm not going to go talk to her-"
"Cassandra, darling could you come here for a second?" she called out making me glare at her.
