"Mom!?"Joohee raised his voice a bit.
"You didn't have to shout. Hahaha. Hi, Hon. Funny seeing you... Here" She looked around, realizing this is the ladies section. "Did you come here with a special friend? Or... Don't tell me you're --" Joohee's Mom started to accuse Joohee of something entirely out of the question.
"Mom. No. Why'd you even consider that? I just came here with Sana. I escorted her..." Joohee thought of what else he should say, "As a reward and thanks for all her efforts these past few days... And all that."
"Oh, I see," Joohee's Mom looked to the left and saw Sana approaching. "Sana!" they hugged and exchanged greetings.
Both Sana and Joohee conversed through the phone using messenger to forget the mall trip's main reason entirely; to look for a birthday gift for Joohee's Mom.
"I didn't know you two were close," Joohee's Mom stated,
"We aren't, of course. It just so happens we're stuck with each other due to the collaboration," Sana replied, and Joohee's Mom laughs.
"Hon, you aren't talking at all," Joohee's Mom looked back to where Joohee was, walking behind them.
"How am I supposed to cut into the conversation? You talk about purses, heels, luxury items, sandals, and anything lady-related," Joohee replied, then Sana chuckled.
"You're right. Haha. Well, now that we're done looking around, why don't we eat dinner?" as her Mom offered, they went to a branch of their own restaurant situated at the mall. Of course, upon their entry, they're served quite well.
Joohee sat beside her mother, and Sana was in front of them. Joohee's Mom ordered everything, and as they waited for their food and she was talking with someone on the phone. Joohee and Sana were talking through chat.
-Joohee: So... What now?-
-Sana: Go with the flow, I guess...-
-Joohee: Let's schedule this some other time. And maybe go to another city to shop. You know, lessen the possibility of us bumping into Mom-
-Sana: That's a great idea. Although can we not schedule it for tomorrow morning?-
-Joohee: Sure. Take your time and rest. We'll go by 2 in the afternoon, would it be okay?-
-Sana: Yep~ Thanks-
