Chapter 9

I looked up with startled eyes to see who had caught me and my eyes almost popped out of my head.

Justin Cliff!

He remained silent just staring at me, looking more startled than I felt that he had actually caught his enemy.

As if catching a hold on himself he quickly let go off me and I stood back in a daze.

"T-thank you."I stuttered nervously.

He narrowed his eyes at me, walking closer stopping a little distance away, as if not too touch me."Try not to get too comfortable at this school, this isn't the place for you."he said roughly.

I tried not to get intimidated by his eyes but failed miserably, whenever our eyes met there seemed to be this deep connection forming between us, one that was completely irresistible.

Before I could stop myself I lifted my hands and touched his cheeks lightly, his eyes widened and he pulled away from me instantly as if a bolt of electricity had shocked him.

"I-I'm sorry."I apologised realising what I had done, what was wrong with me?

He didn't bother to reply as he turned away , as soon as he was out of sight I fell back against the wall in utter dismay.

What had just happened?

"What just happened?"Lily asked the same question that was running through my head.

"You saw all that?"I asked in embarrassment.

"Everyone saw that!"she exclaimed.

My cheeks heated up in flames, I was so embarrassed."I don't know what came over me.Whenever we are near I seem to loose control.Its annoying."I mumbled.

Lily smiled."I think its adorable."

"Hi guys."

I turned around and came face to face with Rachel, one of the girls that had come to see me.

"Hey."I greeted her warmly.

"So one of the members of Justin's gang, I forgot her name, said to give this invitation card to both of you."she explained.

"An invitation card for what?'I inquired.

She shook her head."I don't know, I haven't looked at it.Anyway I'm running late for my next class so see you guys later."

I nodded."Thanks for bringing us the card."I thanked her.

"No problem."she replied as she headed off to class.

I looked at the card in front of me.

"An invitation to a party?"I said out loud while Lily frowned next to me.

"That doesn't sound so good.I think something is up."she said.

"I believe so also.But there's only one way to find out.If they've invited us to a party the only thing we could do is attend the party.Right?"I asked.

"I don't think its a good idea but at least it will get you some experience."she replied obviously trying to look at the bright side.

"How do I look?"I asked giving my dress a little twirl.

Lily's eyes widened."You look absolutely beautiful.You're definitely going to bring a lot of attention to yourself tonight."

I smiled."You look very beautiful yourself."I commented.

"Well since we're both ready, let's head over to Justin's apartment."

I nodded."Let's go."
