A/N: I'm just gonna start writing this, idk when it will end, or if it will end but I'll probably write it in parts, and add a new part when I have an idea to continue it.

Set in a medieval time, but with modern language. Also excuse the fact that there is a police force, yes I know that wasn't started until about 1750, and it was properly set up in 1829 (oi look at me remembering crime and punishment)

King: Simon
Queen: Talia
Older prince: Josh (14 years old)
Younger prince: Tobi (5 years old)
Prime minister: JJ
Head of the army: Ethan

Third person:

Upon entering the kings office - after being announced as the prime minister- JJ rushed towards the desk.

"Your majesty, I have urgent news. The riots are getting too much, these unruly commoners are taking it too far, their want for your head on a stick has grown and they are even talking about killing your sons, ending your entire bloodline. We need to stop them now! I believe it would be best to fight them with force."

The king turned to look at the prime minister, "but that's the problem, if we never put then under such tight restrictions, they would have never wanted mine and my families death as much as they do.. we should try and do it peacefully, slowly reduce my power."

JJ almost lost it, "are you insane?! If we give them what they want they'll only ask for more! How are you going to break it to your sons that their future will be no more!"

Simon slammed his fists on the table, also getting very heated, "my 5 year old son has no idea what is going on! And that was your choice! When he suddenly finds his parents injured or kidnapped he will have no idea why! And that's all because you decided it was too much of an 'adult topic' to tell him!"

The argument continued, both men shouting back and forth, never finding a solution to the main problem, instead bringing up smaller less significant ones. The relationship between government and the monarchy is slowly breaking.. which is perfect for the revolutionaries.

Tobi sat on the floor of his room, staring up at the world map that was plastered on his wall. Since his brother was so much older than him, and everyone else around the house seemed to be busy, he never had anyone to play with, so he took it upon himself to learn which countries are where and how to pronounce them.

"Port-portu- port-u-gaaal" Tobi struggled to pronounce the name as he heard the door open. He turned his head to see his brother entering the room.

"JOSHY JOSHY COME PLAY WITH ME!!" He shouted, running towards his older brother.

"Sorry Tobs, I have a government lesson in a few minutes, I need to get over there quickly." The older brother lied, he was really planning to run away. He hated his role in the family, he hated knowing that he was heir to the phone. He never wants to be king. He would rather live as a commoner. Especially with the current situation, if he went to blend in with the commoners, then you won't be killed by the anarchists. It's a win-win for him.

"Oh... you come play after government?" Tobi stared up at his brother.

"Y-yes.." Josh stuttered, hating that he had to lie to his younger brother, but knew it was inevitable as he didn't want to tell Tobi the truth. He picked up his 'school bag' which was currently filled with food he stole from the pantry and some servants clothes that he also stole. He left the room, leaving the younger boy alone again.

"Darling please don't be angry.. I know JJ has messed it up for us but you need to be strong for me and our sons." Talia held Simon's arm, trying to calm him down from the heated discussion that he had with the prime minister earlier.

"I know... I'm scared about dying.... I'm scared that mine and JJ's combined incompetence is going to cause not only our deaths but the deaths of our innocent boys." Simon stared down at the floor.

"I know... so am I.. I've been making preparations for us to move to a safer house in the countryside, as the protesters will probably come here for us when they are ready." Talia spoke.

"That would be lovel-" the king was cut off by a timid knock at the door, "come in."

A servant popped her head through her head through the door, "sorry to interrupt you, your majesty, but prince Joshua has not turned up for his government lesson, and no one can find him anywhere around the house. Prince Tobi said that Joshua took his school bag to go to the lesson, but he's completely disappeared."

"Have the guards seen anyone enter or leave the building?" The king questioned.

"No," the servant replied, "no guards saw anyone."

"Great where could he have gone? Get everyone to search the house and the surrounding area thoroughly, and I'll help." the king ordered, and the servant left.

In the panic of the household trying to find the missing prince, two men managed to slip in, taking out a few of the guards. They found Tobi, and told him that they were from the government and that they were going to take him to a safe place. The naive prince asked a few questions but eventually agreed and went with them.

Both men thought to themselves that kidnapping the prince was way easier than they anticipated, while they snuck out of the palace and into the ditch where they met up with another group of men, who were waiting by a tunnel to take Tobi to their base.

"Is muma, dada and Joshy coming with me?" Tobi asked while sat in between the two men as they took him away in the carriage.

"You won't see your parents or brother for a while." the man on his right laughed slightly and smirked.

"Nooooo who are you? Where I going?!" Tobi started screaming scared.

"We are the people who want to kill you parents..." the man laughed, "you stupid little boy for trusting us."

"Wait people want to kill mum and dad?! I not stupid! Noooo let me go!!!! Don't kill them!!" Tobi screamed even louder.

"Do me a favour and shut up before I have to do that myself!" The man yelled.

Tobi flinched and sat between the two men again, tears streaming down his face. When they finally arrived at the base he was locked into a cell with a damp concrete floor, a small mattress for a bed and a barely working toilet. He sighed and sat on the mattress, and pulled the thin blanket over himself to protect him from the draught.

It slowly came to the attention of the family in the palace that Tobi had disappeared as well, but this time it was obvious that he had been taken, due to the knocked out guards outside his room. Both the king and the queen retired to their chambers, holding back tears knowing that both their sons we missing, the younger one probably being in more danger as Simon believes that the anarchists took him.

Then there was a knock at his door, after being called in a servant walked in with a letter in her hand, "your majesty, this is addressed to you, it was found in Tobi's room."

Simon grabbed the letter and saw on the front:
Dear 'your majesty'. From your greatest enemy.
