Chapter 18

A/N- Sorry that this took me so long to update, y'all. I've been really busy but I've been wanting to work on it. It has taken me all day to get this done omg. But I hope you like it. You may have to go back and read again if it's been awhile.

We sat in the Great Hall. I sat between Fred and Harry while George, Hermione, and Ron sat directly across. We were talking about what we were looking forward to this year when Dumbledore got up to make an announcement. Everyone's attention turned to him as he spoke. "This year we have an event that has not occurred in many decades. Hogwarts will be hosting the Triwizard Tournament!"

Everyone went wild! Everyone started talking about how excited they were to enter. Even Ron mentioned something about entering and then Albus ruined the mood. "You must be of age to put your name in to participate!" he said while looking at the twins. "THATS RUBBISH!!" Freddy and Georgie yelled while i laughed at them. they would do whatever it took to try and get their name in. key word, try. i just sat and started to hun a song i was working on lately when someone tapped me on the shoulder. i looked and saw the one and only neville longbottom. "hey pal, what's up?" i asked him while standing up, noticing that dumbledore stopped talking. {god how long was i zoned out?} "i-i uh wanted to ask you for some help" he said as he stuttered a little. "what's going on nev?" i asked as we were walking on our own not far from the rest of the crew. "i wanna ask luna to the yule ball but i'm not sure what she would say and it's just making me quite nervous" he said quickly. we are having a yule ball?? maybe i should pay more attention. "well....i think you should go for it neville. i think you two would be super cute, and i think she likes you so go for it friend" i said while smiling at him. "thanks caden!! i really appreciate it!!" he said hugging me then running off.

i just smiled as he rounded the corner to catch up with the trio. i looked up and saw freddy leaning against the wall of the corridor waiting for me with a smirk on his face. "so i see my girl is playing match maker now?" i rolled my eyes. "oh hush, you can't deny that those two would be the cutest couple in hogwarts fred." "girl, i can deny it. cause we are the cutest couple in hogwarts" he laughed as he pulled me in to a half hug and we walked down the corridor to the common room where everyone was buzzing with excitement for an announcement that i obviously missed. joy. well, at least im back.
