OUR LOVE (S. BLACK)

ONE

CHLOE FOUND HERSELF sitting alone during breakfast on the second day of Hogwarts. Nonetheless, she was happy. She never understood how her friends could be so energetic in the morning. To sum it up, she was quite consent with the silence. She could finish the homework she didn't make yesterday—she was too busy with complaining about it—while eating. As if on purpose, the door opened revealing Chloe her two best friends.

"Good morning, people!" Jasmine yelled getting a few mumbling greetings back from the other students. No, Chloe was not kidding when she said Jasmine and Brooke are always very energetic in the morning. "Morning!" Brooke said, smiling. Chloe let her head fall on the table.

"Morning," she said. Jasmine started filling her plate with donuts and poured sugar in her tea. Brooke started bickering about 'that's not a healthy breakfast' making Chloe raise her finger.

"No talky before the coffee," Chloe said while sipping her coffee. "Alright," Chloe said finishing her last bit of coffee, "I'm going to go to the library where I do not have to listen to whatever you two are talking about. I'll see you at the next class!" The last thing Chloe heard before walking away was Brooke mumbling about the breakfast Jasmine was having, again.

      Chloe slowly walked through the empty hallways. It was nice being back at Hogwarts, Chloe had missed the endless hours she spent in the library and hallways. Of course, the library wasn't empty when she walked in. Some crazy students, including Chloe, decided to make homework so early in the morning. The quite popular boy group sat there too, making Chloe grin. James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. She knows these names too well. They've caused mischief, drama and laughter at this school. Jasmine has this major crush on one of them, Sirius. She basically stalks him.

      Chloe took a seat next to the window, laying down her parchment and grabbing her ink. There wasn't a lot of homework left to do for her, she had finished half of it during her breakfast. It was so quiet in here—except for the loud whispering of the boys in the corner—you could hear the sound of quills on paper. The idea of just grabbing books to read instead of doing homework was very tempting. Chloe had always wanted to become a writer. Books, journalism or reviews; Chloe didn't care, she enjoyed writing in any way. Except for Transfiguration and Potions essays, of course.

      After what felt like hours of sitting in the silence, Chloe her two friends came stumbling into the library. They were in a loud conversation making Chloe groan mentally. It's a library!

     "This is called a library, Jasmine and Brooke. You're supposed to be quiet," Chloe whispered the last part. Jasmine didn't even listen, she saw Sirius sitting at a table with his friends. "Not this again," mumbled Brooke under her breath. Jasmine smiled and sat down.

      "So, have you seen who's sitting over there?" Jasmine asked, a visible twinkle shining in her eyes.

      "Is this a rhetorical question?" Chloe asked grinning making Brooke put her finger over her mouth, signaling them to be quiet. Jasmine decided to ignore both of them while dreamily staring. "Stop staring, you moron," Chloe laughed.

      "Oh, hush. You stare at people all the time," Jasmine fired back.

      "Hmpf. I can't remember why I befriended you," Chloe said mumbling as a joke. Actually she can remember it very well; it was at the Gryffindor table during their first dinner. They both wanted to grab an apple which ended up in them pulling on the same apple. They laughed it off and started a conversation, it was a very nice surprise when they found out they were roommates. They had met Brooke in their dorm, she was the other roommate. They all immediately hit it off and since then they have been friends and roommates. Of course, with a few fights here and there. Oh well, that's what makes a friendship stronger, isn't it?
