Once, there was a young turtle who went by the name of Franklen. He lived his turtle life, going to school and coming back home, then sleep and repeat. Then, one day, something happened.
His rodent friend (idk i think it was like a porcupine, a hedgehog, or a gopher??) lost a tooth. Now, this was all fine and well, but the next day, he got money for his tooth. Franklen had told his parents what happened, and expressed quite clearly his envy.
Anyway, this agitated Franklen. He wanted to get money from the tooth fairy, too; but how? An idea snuck into his mind. During recess, Franklen searched and searched, rather than play with his friends.
Then, he found what he wanted; a small, white rock shaped similarly to a tooth. He rushed home after school.
Before going to bed, he wrote a letter to the tooth fairy to let it know his tooth was there, and put his tooth under the pillow.
The next morning, he excitedly checked under his pillow, only to be met with disappointment and confusion. Instead of money, there was a letter.
Franklen picked up the letter, which read: "Dear Franklen, turtles don'thave teeth, but nice try." He sighed; it was true. The closest thing he had to a real tooth was a massive sweet tooth, but that couldn't exactly get sold to the tooth fairy.
Blatantly let down and disappointed, he shuffled his way to the kitchen, where his parents were. After a moment of processing what was waiting for him, he felt his mood elate and a huge smile stretched over his face.
A banner was hung, reading "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" in bright colors. The kitchen table was cluttered with various tasty breakfast foods- a mountain of pancakes with a hearty helping of syrup flowing down the sides, crepes with an assortment of delicious fruits, toppings, and flavors, whipped cream and nutella, a whimsical little chocolate fountain, even, to dip fresh strawberries in, and more.
A glance to the side revealed a stack of presents, wrapped neatly in fun wrapping paper, with various shapes and sizes. His parents were smiling brightly at him, inviting him to come indulge in breakfast. He gladly went, enjoying all of it immensely, forgetting about the tooth fairy easily.
The end.
Yes, it's still short, but now I think some of it makes more sense. Something I really wanted to mention but couldn't find a good way to bring up was the fact that this over-the-top birthday was because his parents had considered how upset he was over the tooth fairy situation, and I don't remember why but they felt guilty about something? Maybe it was just them feeling bad about him not having teeth to sell. Anyways, that's all for now, fOlkS
