as the sun settled, the sky turning to shades of red and orange, our small little family settled as well.
kio and our newborn were nowhere to be seen. i walked around the house looking for the pair until soft music was heard coming from the bedroom.
through the door laid kio and the newborn on the bed. the small infant laid asleep on kio's bare chest, his hand gently running up and down the small back of the infant.
i watched the two from the door, a smile on my face. kio's eyes were closed, yet he was just resting. he occasionally planted a kiss on the baby's soft head, smiling when pulling away.
the sight was heart warming. seeing the people you love dearly bonding was special. they were special. he was special.
