i sat on the couch, holding patches in my arms. "she is so cute." i thought to myself. suddenly, she rolled onto her back, probably expecting me to pet her stomach. i gave her a few belly rubs and quickly snapped a picture of her before she could move.
i didn't notice the bedroom door open or someone sit next to me on the couch. i sat still, admiring how adorable patches was.
"wow. ignoring me?" a familiar voice asked, making me jump in shock. patches screeched and ran away. i sighed "no. i didn't even know you were here to be honest."
"jeez. you really love patches more than me huh?" clay asked.
"yeah basically." i replied with a sarcastic smile. patches jumped back on the couch, this time cuddling herself into clays lap. "wow. i don't get cuddles?" i pouted.
clay chuckled, "come here." i did as he said and he wrapped his arms around my waist and laid down. patches moved to lay down on top of both of us. clay & i both smiled as we admired the little family we had.
