"Why is he shirtless?"
Cole had asked and I almost laughed, Max tilts his head looking at my brother.
"That's your first question?" John asked The dirty blonde twelve year old.
"I mean how can you even ask that? Just look at him," Allison says looking back and quite obviously checking him out. I glare at her, does this girl have no shame? Max rolls his eyes before seeing me glare at the redhead, and winks at me with a smirk. God this boy loves to make me blush.
"I still don't get it," Cole states. He makes eye contact with Bee, whom of which is looking him over with arms crossed and her hand on her chin, before struggling in the chair.
"Give him a cookie," Bee says. Sonya starts walking up with a large cookie in hand towards Cole who tells the teen, "No thanks."
"Eat the cookie," Sonya tells him doing this thing with her eyes and slightly moving her head. "Just don't really like cookies, ok. Bee knows that," he says looking towards the blonde that now has a small smile on her face.
"You'll feel better if you eat the cookie Cole." Bee tells him, "You fainted."
"No I didn't."
"Yes you did," Bee tells him pulling out a blue rolly computer chair and sitting on it backward while facing Cole. "I know this cause our friend took your blood, I waited in the room because something felt off. I crouched behind the door and a few seconds later you got up and tied a sheet to your bed and then threw the sheet out the window. And then you fainted, so you know, your blood sugar's low. Eat the cookie."
Cole, I told you to hide not climb out the god damned window! He stared a Bee for a second. "Are you mad at me?" he asked her. My heart broke a little at how sad the thought made him. "Cook-kie." was her reply. Sonya walks up to my brother.
"This is gonna be so good," Sonya tells him drawing the back of her point finger down his cheek. I automatically got angry as she started to force a piece of cookie into his mouth. He doesn't want the cookie just give him something else, do not hurt him by forcing it down his throat. I take a step forward, but Max stops me from going any farther by wrapping his arms around my torso and resting his head on my shoulder, the poker hanging from one hand. "No, not now." he whispers to me, and surprisingly I listen, relaxing in his arms.
I just started to be with him an hour ago and already I am so attached. Allison looks at me with a confused glare as Sonya finishes feeding Cole. "Why are you awake Cole?"
"Cause I couldn't sleep."
"I don't believe you."
"'Kay fine, I was gonna go smoke in the woods."
"You were gonna go smoke in the woods?" Bee asks standing and pushing the chair away.
"Yeah, you know, like marijuana," he answered. God this was a horrid conversation.
"And you wasn't gonna share with your boy?" John asks obviously thinking Cole was serious, "C'mon man. We coulda got high, listened to my mixtape. That shit's fire."
"I wanna smoke pot." Allison adds eagerly.
"Why didn't you drink the shot Cole?" Bee questions.
"Why is he shirtless?" Max raises his arm with the poker and points it towards Cole and I smile.
"Cole."
"Why did you take my blood?"
"Cole."
"Okay!" he says, "Fine, I don't like alcohol. I just drank it cause I wanted you to think I was cool so..." Then I see him pull out his pocket knife in the mirror behind him. I try best to give him my don't do it look, but it's really hard to get his attention with Max hanging on to me. I fail. "I don't know, why'd you give a twelve and fifteen year old alcohol?"
